Job Description
- Update and maintain the organization's Risk Appetite Statement ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives and risk tolerance of the organization.
- Maintain and update the organization's risk register ensuring all significant risks are recorded, monitored, and mitigated.
- Prepare the annual Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) documentation.
- Prepare risk reports to the Board, highlighting key risks, trends, and mitigation actions.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes and implement necessary changes to the risk management framework.
- Conduct an annual review of risk and credit policies, recommending updates to ensure continued alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for the Risk Management Committee ensuring all relevant risks and mitigations are presented clearly.
- Review and analyze credit files, prepare presentations, and provide recommendations to the Credit Committee.
- Propose limits for financial counterparties and monitor compliance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Legal.

- Knowledge of banking products and financial markets.
- Excellent language skills (verbal and written) according to specific competencies market requirements.
- Possess good judgment and an ability to work under pressure.
- Familiar with the legal & regulatory environment and keep up with changes and developments on a continuous basis.

Job Summary
The Risk Officer ("RO") is responsible for the identification, mitigation and management of all risks within the Firm and those it may face. The RO is the main point of contact of the Firm with respect to all risk matters and provides advice and support to the Board and the Firm's employees including Senior Management in terms of risk.
In partnership with the SEO, the RO is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the Firm's Risk Framework ensuring that the controls in place are effective to suit the nature, structure day to day business activities of the Firm.
The Board has delegated responsibility for managing the risk function to the RO including the authority to carry out these responsibilities, in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Board.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Firm's Risk Management Policy
- Conduct the annual Internal Risk Assessment Process (IRAP) in line with regulatory requirements
- Provide support and guidance to staff on risk management operational and other relevant risks
- Produce and provide Senior Management and ad hoc Board risk reports which provide information and details on the Firm's material risks
- Provide input into the annual business strategy and planning processes to ensure strategic risks are identified, appropriately considered and documented
- Assist management with the management and resolution of operational risk issues
- Assist with risk management relating to ad hoc projects and change
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a risk management role within an asset management, hedge fund, or financial services environment
- Proficient understanding of Operational Risk principles and regulatory expectations (ADGM or equivalent jurisdictions such as DFSA, MAS, FCA)
- Familiarity with Market Risk concepts
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with ability to confidently engage senior personnel

In partnership with the SEO, the RO is responsible for developing and maintaining the Firm’s Risk Framework, ensuring that controls are effective and aligned with the Firm’s nature, structure, and daily operations.
The Board has delegated responsibility for managing the risk function to the RO, including the authority to carry out these responsibilities according to the policies established by the Board.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Firm’s Risk Management Policy.
- Conduct the annual Internal Risk Assessment Process (IRAP) in line with regulatory requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to staff on operational and other relevant risks.
- Produce and present risk reports to Senior Management and the Board, detailing the Firm’s material risks.
- Contribute to the annual business strategy and planning to ensure strategic risks are identified and managed.
- Assist management with operational risk issues and their resolution.
- Support risk management in ad hoc projects and organizational changes.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in risk management within asset management, hedge funds, or financial services.
- Proficient understanding of Operational Risk principles and regulatory expectations (ADGM, DFSA, MAS, FCA or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Market Risk concepts.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders confidently.
- Experience working with regulators and developing risk policies, controls, and reporting tools.
