The Junior IT Project Manager is involved in all aspects of selected projects in a company’s IT department, which includes managing selected tasks to ensure projects are completed on time and within their specified budgets. The ideal candidate will have production experience and strong skills in delivering dedicated work plans and packages. The project manager will also prepare and present updates regularly to relevant management channels, ensuring that our goal of innovation is being achieved.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks

• Support the design of IT governance and IT service model

• Structure and manage integrated, multitrack vendor engagements with all required documentation

• Assign and monitor activities to ensure project efficiency and deliverable completeness

• Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.

• Coordination with the IT and Procurement teams in order to manage all documentation regarding IT support, development and vendor contracting.

Generic Accountabilities

• Assist the design and implementation of new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes around IT delivery.

• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with relevant standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

• Liaising with stakeholders such as project personnel, vendors, and end-users regarding project requirements.

• Outlining, defining, and initiating the project.

• Implementing document control policies and documentation templates.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT delivery environment.

• Experience in software delivery and solution design 3-Apr-24

• Basic knowledge in IT governance and IT cost model methodologies and operating models • Experience in IT service management and service catalog development and maintenance

• Minimum 5 year of experience in managing vendors and contracting with vendors in the IT space

• Understanding of IT and Procurement processes in a large company in the UAE

• Good knowledge of Project Management methodology with the ability to effectively monitor a project with large diverse teams • Experience with complex IT systems

• Experience with ITIL Professional Certifications

• Possession of one or more certifications on the following is desirable:

o Project Management

o ITIL

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
