AGUP Phase 1 project is a brownfield project, it is part of the Iraq Gas Growth Integrated Projects deal signed in September 2021

with the objective to develop existing Ratawi oil production asset until the start-up of a new future plant, to develop new wells,

network, export and modify entirely the existing facilities in order to: - 

- restore the export to its original tank farm for 2024

- bring back the asset to its original design capacity of 60 kbopd in 2023 and then to double it at 120 kbopd for 2025

- eliminate routing flaring for 2025 It is a fast-track project on existing facilities designed and built by others with

uncertainties on fluids compositions, production profiles and required export specifications. 

The development project will be designed in via EPsCa contract including FEED and Detailed Engineering phases on

Reporting to the Pre-Operations Manager, During the EPsCa FEED, the service holder is in charge of:

- Ensure that new designs and development are implement in a such manner that future operations will be performed in a

safe manner, minimizing impact in the environment and cost effective. Facilities should be reliable and able to be maintained

and inspected

- To review all process and flow assurance studies in order to ensure that design is fit for purpose and in line with Project

objectives

- Provide support to challenge the FEED Contractors in the Value engineering exercise. Promote alternatives design to reduce

cost, works and schedule

- To prepare and start to implement with affiliate all future means for the field exploitation (human, resources, equipment,

contracts)

- Timely review and comment engineering documents; liaise with other engineering specialist(s), and entity (affiliate

- Modify and update key Operations documents like (but not limited) Operation Philosophy, Maintenance and Inspection

Philosophy, Plant Availability Study, OPEX update, etc.

- Prepare all the audits and reviews related to Operations discipline

- be involved in activities regarding the OPPS / HIPPS Dossier (if required)

- Provide Operational inputs, based in TotalEnergies referential, good practices and pragmatical approach to Safety

- assist the Commissioning team for the preparation of the commissioning activities.

- Interact in a constructive way with affiliate to minimize impact in facilities already in production and minimize production

- Prepare the SIMOPS and define scope for modifications to be done during facilities Shut Down

- Actively participate in site Surveys and information gathering for the Project

ACTIVITIES

- To adopt & demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE requirements.

- Base in Project needs to coordinate activities required with Field Operations entity from affiliate

- To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and to

promote and enforce the Corporate Anti-Corruption Program within the project team

- Engineering follow-up: To control the Contractors’ performance in process discipline and in his perimeter : timely delivery

and review of Contractor’s engineering documents, studies and queries through an efficient technical coordination

scheme with the Contractors.

- Attend Safety related studies and follow-up

- To identify and deliver all studies and documents (dossiers) related to Field Operations

- To prepare and launch contract with affiliate if required for the next phase (for MIEC for example)

- To ensure that latest digital and carbon footprint reduction initiatives are studied and implemented if possible

- To ensure the hand over for the next Project phase

- To gather ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to other TotalEnergies E&P entities as required

CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT

The main challenges are : 

- Production. The deal profitability is very sensitive to the AGUP Phase 1 production (120 kbopd), being the only project bringing

cashflow in the first years.

- Costs. It represents around 900M$ CAPEX in pre-FEED evaluation (450M$ FACILEX, 350M$ DRILLEX, others for pre-FID

- Environment. Eliminate routine flaring by reservoir storage on an existing asset, in 2 years, with such quantities (> 2 Msm3d

associated gas) is a first in the company

- Planning. Very challenging planning with fast-track development and FEED (within OneTech) and Detailed

Engineering/Execution (within the Affiliate), in a country where TTE is today not operator (developing relationship with national

- Risk management. Development involving several risks scenario & mitigations, with low availability of data on reservoirs, wells

- AGUP Phase 1 project is executed out of TotalEnergies General Specifications perimeter, Engineer shall be capable to

control the development of project particular specifications and overall engineering under applicable international

standards

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Professional Experience (years): >20 years in Oil and Gas projects

Experience in similar position (years): At least 3 years of experience in similar position during project, relevant site experience in a

onshore field and 3 years as a Section Head (Production Manager, Site Manager or equivalent)

OTHER OBSERVATIONS

Being part of the FEED Ph 1 team is accountable to deliver the FEED in time within the estimated budget and ensure that all

operational inputs are considered. Keep active and positive interaction with affiliate
