Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute construction category sourcing strategies across different supply chain tiers (General Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, OEMs) and trades (including civil, architectural, MEP, fire protection, and fit-out) across AMET region
Take responsibility for increasing Amazon's competitiveness and maintain continuity of supply and mitigate risks across geographical and business unit boundaries, defining opportunities to suit the particular needs of Amazon business

A day in the life
Lead procurement processes including prequalification, onboarding, tender management, evaluations, contract negotiations and award recommendations, delivering to tight timescales, being technically and commercially accurate and to manage several schemes simultaneously
Apply technical knowledge of construction trades to assess supplier capabilities, evaluate proposals, and drive value engineering initiatives
Drive procurement of innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective construction services to help our Operations teams succeed and delight Amazon.com customers with speed, selection and convenience
Collaborate with technical teams to optimize specifications across various construction disciplines
Serve as the key interface between project delivery and any internal central core team from Design and Construction, Real Estate and Legal partners and the senior leadership of external supply chain (General Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, OEMs)
Support supplier performance management together with Design and Construction partners
Provide insight and knowledge of the construction industry and supply chain and in turn develop procurement strategies to support/inform strategic decision making
Prepare high quality white papers and anticipate objections to proposed procurement approach and gain buy-in from decision makers, including managing differing perspectives to a recommended position. Influence decision-making at senior leadership levels
Adapt and sometimes take different roles from strategy development to project management to rapidly meet customer needs

Basic Qualifications

+ Ensure traceability of materials, inspections, and test records.
+ Support final project quality dossiers and handover documentation.
Stakeholder Coordination
+ Interface with Client Quality representatives, Engineering teams, Procurement, Vendors, and Third-Party Inspection Agencies.
+ Support project reviews and management meetings.
+ Provide guidance and mentoring to project quality personnel.
+ Coordinate quality activities across multiple disciplines and suppliers.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
+ Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001) required.
+ ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification preferred.
+ Additional certifications in Quality Management or Supplier Quality are advantageous.
Experience
+ 20-25 years of Quality Management experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
+ Minimum 8 years in a Quality Management leadership role.
+ Extensive experience supporting Engineering and Procurement phases of EPC projects.
+ Strong experience with offshore brownfield developments and major equipment procurement.
+ ADNOC Offshore project experience highly preferred.
+ Proven experience managing supplier quality programs and international vendor networks.

Job Description
The International Expansions team is responsible for helping to launch new Amazon marketplaces around the world. We are seeking a Supply Chain Instock Manager to help work with our top vendors around the world to drive our global direct import business. You will have responsibility for end-to-end business ownership of the import supply chain processes from manufacturer to the availability in our Fulfillment Centers and for developing and implementing inventory management strategies to optimize customer experience.
The position requires an individual who can work autonomously in a fast paced, demanding and often ambiguous environment. Additionally since this position involves working with multiple stakeholders around the world in a fast growing opportunity. We need someone with strong stakeholder management capabilities and ownership with great bias for action in getting things done themselves. In this role, you will be a true entrepreneur and manage all aspects of your business on a daily basis.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage availability and inventory health including: improved in-stock rates, inventory planning, vendor lead time, fill rate, unhealthy inventory and forecast accuracy for import selection.
- Driving meaningful data driven solutions to solve complex supply chain problems
- Create and run buying/forecasting scenarios and enable better buying decisions to ensure continuous improvement in the buying process
- Drive automation programs for Imports.
- Step changing the vendors' operational performance by acting as their internal consultant on forecasting/buying/operations domain
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior leaders of partnered vendors to grow and optimize the joint import business.
A day in the life
Your core responsibilities will include monitoring inventory health and adjusting buying/forecasting accordingly. You will also work with stakeholders in CA, US, MX, Europe, APAC/MENA taking inputs and pivoting priorities based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
- 5+ years of with Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of analytic tools
- Fluency in English
- Ability to travel internationally
- Previous experience with managing multinational companies business
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Experience working with complex data sets and proficiency in SQL
- Excellent business judgement, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
- Ability to operate both strategically and operationally
- High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities and committed to getting things done
- Strong data extraction, analytical and problem solving skills
