**Smart Cities Senior Specialist**
**Dubai, UAE**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Smart Cities Senior Specialist** to join our team! In this role you will get to **drive cutting-edge smart city, advanced mobility, AI, and digitalization initiatives on major urban and infrastructure projects across the Middle East.**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ **Project leadership and delivery** : Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of consultancy and advisory projects across the Middle East, including defining scope, workplans, and schedules; coordinating resources; and being responsible for producing high-quality deliverables such as strategies, roadmaps, technical reports, and presentations. You will initially lead key project activities, progressing quickly to owning and delivering your own projects.
+ **Client consultation** : Work as part of a team to advise clients on their smart city and digital ambitions across a range of industry sectors in the Middle East, drawing on knowledge of real-life applications of smart city technologies to shape practical, implementable strategies and roadmaps.
+ **Proposal development and business growth** : Proactively identify, qualify, and mature new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients, and lead the creation of compelling, well-structured proposals that clearly articulate technology-driven solutions, delivery approaches, and value propositions, helping to secure work across multiple digital and smart city domains.
+ **Solution development** : Identify, shape, and develop smart city and digital solution designs, leveraging practical understanding of advanced mobility, IoT, data platforms, AI, and urban technology to create robust, conceptually sound designs that can inform and guide future real-world deployment and operations.
+ **Multi-disciplinary coordination** : Work closely with teams from master planning, landscape architecture, mobility and transport, environment and sustainability, and asset management to deliver fully coordinated, integrated proposals and projects, ensuring that smart city solutions are embedded across disciplines and aligned with broader urban, sustainability, and operational objectives.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Technical degree from an accredited program involving technology or digital solutions.
+ More than 10 years of experience working in a consultancy or engineering environment.
+ Specialist in one or more specific areas such as AI, geospatial solutions, digital twin, advanced mobility, ICT infrastructure.
+ Familiarity with real-world implementation of smart city and digital solutions, enabling practical, implementation-aware input when working in multidisciplinary design teams.
+ Strong analytical and lateral thinking skills to solve complex problems.
+ Passionate about technology and the latest technology trends.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English.
+ Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, be proactive and take ownership of issues to ensure they are completed on time and to a high standard.
+ Self-starter with the skills to research and complete tasks with limited supervision.

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Experience in data visualisation such as Power BI.
+ Ability to read and understand engineering and system architecture drawings.
+ Ability to demonstrate assertiveness and work in a fast-paced environment
+ Arabic language skills are a strong advantage

**Smart City Systems Specialist**
**Dubai, UAE**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Smart City Systems Specialist** to join our team! In this role you will get **to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering technical designs and integrating smart city systems and digital infrastructure throughout the urban realm.**
**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:**
**Smart City Enablement**
+ Translate smart city solution requirements into performance and functional specifications.
+ Ensure alignment between smart city platforms, applications, and field-level connectivity.
+ Identify optimum locations for field sensors, gateways, and edge devices, ensuring reliable network integration.
+ Coordinate, review and validate ICT designs to enable Smart City solutions.
+ Ensure ICT and communication designs comply with GCC telecom regulatory authorities and national ICT policies.
+ Coordinate with licensed telecom operators for connectivity approvals and integration.
+ Support regulatory submissions, approvals, and compliance documentation.
**Consulting & Stakeholder Management**
+ Act as a trusted systems advisor to Internal teams and clients
+ Support technical workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
+ Provide clear technical guidance to non-technical decision-makers.
+ Coordinate with smart city solution architects, ICT & security designers and telecom operators.
**Systems Design and Validation**
+ Work closely with Other Parsons Disciplines or on-ground field teams during design and implementation planning
+ Define connectivity requirements for smart city use cases including IoT sensors, surveillance, mobility, utilities, environment, and public safety.
+ Review and assure network designs covering fiber, wireless, and IoT connectivity.
+ Ensure designs are scalable, resilient, secure, and future-ready.
+ Ensure smooth transition from implementation to operations.
**WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or related engineering field.
+ More than 5 years of experience in systems engineering, ICT, communication networks or smart city-related roles.
+ Experience supporting smart city, digital infrastructure or IoT-based projects.
+ Understanding of ICT concepts, architectures and standards with the ability to collaborate effectively with ICT specialists
**WHAT DESIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING:**
+ Specialism in one of more related fields of ICT and communication networks: Fiber optic networks, Wireless networks (LTE/5G, Wi-Fi), IoT connectivity (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, cellular IoT), cybersecurity etc.
+ Proven experience working on government or city authority projects within the GCC.
+ Understanding of network security, resilience, and availability at a conceptual level.
+ Familiarity with GCC telecom regulations and ICT compliance requirements.
