What experience would we like you to have?
Qualifications and Education:
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical or equivalent discipline, but consideration will be given to those with extensive proven experience within a similar role.
• 10+ years Proven experience in similar role.
• Proven Track record of delivering EPCI projects for major clients (ARAMCO, ADNOC, Qatar Energy, BP etc)

This role involves assisting with cleaning tasks, handling equipment, preparing disinfectants, and ensuring safe practices are followed during the cleaning process. The assistant technician/helper works under the supervision of a supervisor /senior technician to ensure that water tanks are cleaned and disinfected effectively, ensuring safe and hygienic water storage conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cleaning the interior and exterior of water storage tanks, including scraping, brushing, and pressure washing surfaces to remove debris, dirt, algae, and sediment.
- Help in removing waste and contaminants from the tank and its components (e.g., filters, pipes).
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including wiping down surfaces, scrubbing walls, and ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned.
- Assist in the preparation of disinfectants, such as chlorine or other water treatment chemicals, to be used for sanitizing the tanks.
- Help with the application of disinfectants to tank surfaces and ensure that proper contact time is maintained.
- Monitor chemical levels and ensure the correct amount of disinfectants is used according to safety and health regulations.
- Support the lead technician in collecting water samples before and after cleaning to test contamination levels.
- Assist in inspecting water tanks and associated systems for any visible signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
- Help maintain and clean tools and equipment used in the cleaning and disinfection processes.
- Operate basic cleaning tools, such as pressure washers, vacuums, and brushes, under the supervision of the lead technician.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols during tank cleaning and disinfection, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, goggles, and masks.
- Assist in safely handling and storing cleaning chemicals and disinfectants according to safety guidelines.
- Follow proper procedures for disposing of waste materials and leftover cleaning agents to avoid environmental contamination.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of water tanks to remove dirt, algae, sediment, and other contaminants.
- Help complete service reports as directed by the lead technician.
- Assist with the identification of potential risks, such as damage or leaks, and notify the lead technician for further action.
- Help monitor water tank conditions to assist in scheduling future cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Provide emergency disinfection services to ensure safe drinking water.

Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a water tank cleaner/ operator/ technician or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with water treatment and disinfection methods is preferred.
- Understanding of safe and effective disinfection methods, including chemical dosing, water treatment protocols, and water quality standards.
- Ability to operate cleaning and disinfection equipment, pressure washers, and water quality testing tools.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform manual tasks related to tank cleaning and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent in this discipline
- Must have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in water tank cleaning and disinfection.
- DM approved certifications in water tank cleaning and disinfection
- Confined Space training / certification.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Hook up Workpacks
- Execute and oversee the hook-up and commissioning activities in compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations
- Develop and implement detailed hook-up plans, commissioning procedures, and strategies for onshore and offshore projects
- Coordinate and supervise interdisciplinary teams involved in hook-up and commissioning activities, ensuring efficient project execution
- Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities such as systems testing, equipment inspections, and functional checks
- Identify and resolve technical issues during the hook-up and commissioning phase, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Review project specifications, drawings, and design documents to ensure technical completeness and accuracy for hook-up and commissioning
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, ensuring their adherence to project timelines and quality standards
- Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to ensure adequate and essential commissioning spares, resources, equipment are identified and available.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to ensure safety during hook-up and commissioning operations
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry codes, and standards, including the integration of environmental and sustainability aspects

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical
- Proven 15 years' experience in hook-up, commissioning, and start-up, preferably in oil and gas offshore projects
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices, standards (API, ISO), and regulations related to hook-up and commissioning activities
- Worked with and fully understands Industry Safe system of work principles, Work Permits, and sanction to test.
- (Process Discipline Engineer) Good Working Knowledge of Process and Safety Control systems.
- Proficiency in utilizing project management tools and software for planning, scheduling, completions and tracking hook-up and commissioning activities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively liaise with interdisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients
