The key objectives for this role are:
- Develop and optimize chemical processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate steady state process simulation models.
- Perform heat and mass balance for the process system.
- Perform Steady state and transient hydraulic simulations (single/multiphase flow) to size production/injection pipelines.
- Review of steady-state and transient simulations to assess pressure drop, temperature profiles, hydrate/wax risks, etc.
- Provide flow assurance support for offshore production systems, pipelines, and subsea networks.
- Evaluate and recommend mitigation strategies for flow assurance challenges such as slugging, asphaltene, scale, and sand.
- Review and validate operating envelopes and production profiles for new and existing systems.
- Interface with process, pipeline, and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient flow regimes.
- Prepare technical documentation including flow assurance reports, simulation summaries, and risk assessments.

Expected:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in flow assurance engineering.
- Offshore production and multiphase flow experience is required.

This entails the preparation of basic design, detailed design of the instrumentation and controls part of the project.
- SPI knowledge / experience is mandatory in Index, I/O List, Data sheets and Loop drawing
- Offshore design experience and RLE FPSO experience are mandatory.
- Preparing data sheets, Cause and effect diagrams, logic verifications, Input to interdepartmental interfaces
- Ensuring that the design is carried out as per the industry standard practices and in conformance with the quality management system.
- Co-ordination with Project and client
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and pre-qualification documents in what relates to Instrumentation engineering design.
- Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Project Managers and Discipline Heads

Job Objective:
Contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through:
- Executing assigned scopes of work.
- Providing discipline expertise to the business.
- Supporting and supervising task delegation to team.
- Uses technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems. Completes almost any engineering tasks with minimal guidance and direction. May serve as the primary discipline engineer or discipline technical authority on projects with small to medium complexity.
- Performs engineering assignments, usually representing a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes design recommendations.
- Requires mature professional knowledge in planning and conducting assignments having scope for coordination of difficult tasks.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Executing Assigned Scopes of Work:
- Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment
- Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects
- Ensures successful completion of the assigned project/phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints
- Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work
- Evaluates problems, organizes investigations and establishes general performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, processes, etc.
- Check Engineering calculations as well as check all drawings in accordance with industry codes and standards; Assist with the development of less senior Technical Professionals
- Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement
- Participate in audits and incident investigations as required
- Performs complex engineering tasks related to specific units of major projects
- Participate in site visits, project review meetings, design reviews and other workshops as required
- Organising and active participation in design reviews
Providing discipline expertise:
- Solves problems requiring development of new approaches or new uses for existing approaches; exercises mature professional judgment in evaluating and selecting technical strategic options

Supporting and Supervising task delegation to team:

- Assist in performing managerial tasks as requested, such as assigning tasks to engineers; planning and coordinating portions of the engineering work; preparing scopes, schedules, and budgets; attending project meetings; and developing lesser-experienced technical professionals
- Discusses with other senior engineers to agree priorities and implications on work of others
- Approves work schedules and makes recommendations for increased resources and special equipment
- Makes commitments on acceptance of projects, completion dates, resources and staff required to meet goals
- Coordinates the activities of engineering and design groups assigned to small projects
- Participates in developing deadlines, projects and work to be done
- May manage one or more small projects, with responsibility for cost, schedule, resources allocation and risk
- Provide appropriate HSSE leadership including compliance with site and office safety requirements and technical/design safety requirements

Expected:
- B.Sc. or equivalent degree in the Engineering discipline from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10+ years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects, including at least five (5) years in similar position.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Specific experience in Oil and Gas projects across their lifecycle in the GCC region, preferred
- Pre-FEED, FEED experience is required
- Detailed Engineering experience is preferred
