**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Sr. Sustainability and Environment Specialist** to join our team! In this role you will get to contribute to the sustainability and environmental strategies for the delivery of challenging high-quality infrastructure and masterplan projects.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Be part of complex project teams which require sustainability planning and evaluation, from conception to project completion.
+ Manage multiple multidisciplinary projects that require sustainability strategy, certifications (LEED, Envision, WELL, Estidama, Mostadam, BREEAM, etc.).
+ Develop sustainability strategies tailored for each project's aspirations and requirements.
+ Guide project teams during planning, design development, tendering and construction supervision to enable achievement of projects sustainability and environmental goals.
+ Develop technical reports and studies for sustainability certifications and environmental documentation as part of project deliverables.
+ Prepare RFPs to appoint the most suitable sub-consultants for any given project.
+ Assess and manage the appointed sub-consultants and review their sustainability outputs.
+ Review and respond to RFIs and other technical queries, and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain information as required.
+ Review deliverables prepared by consultants, suppliers, and contractors for accuracy and quality.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree or above in architecture, engineering, planning.
+ Work experience of minimum 7 years in an international engineering design and project management or sustainability consultancy.
+ Estidama PCRS PQP and/or LEED AP and/or WELL AP and/or BREEAM AP, and additional credentials a plus.
+ Knowledgable on the latest trends on the sustainability field and finding ways to impelement them synergistically.

In this role you will get to contribute to climate change, sustainability and environmental strategies for the delivery of challenging high-quality strategy, policy advisory, infrastructure and masterplan projects.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Be part of multidisciplinary project teams and manage complex projects which require sustainability and climate change input and expertise on mitigation and adaptation planning and policies.
+ Manage and present to the clients during project workshops and meetings.
+ Develop climate resilience and sustainability strategies tailored for each project's aspirations and requirements.
+ Be curious and suggest alternative solutions and innovative ideas for each project's vision.
+ Develop technical reports and studies for sustainability and climate change mitigation and adaptation strategy development as part of project deliverables.
+ Prepare RFPs to appoint the most suitable sub-consultants for any given project, assess and manage the appointed sub-consultants, and review their deliverables for accuracy and quality.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree or above (Masters, PhD) in climate change, sustainability, environmental science, architecture, engineering, planning, or related natural sciences field.
+ Work experience of minimum 13 years in an international engineering /design / project management / sustainability /climate change consultancy.
+ Good knowledge on embodied carbon calculations (PAS 2080 a plus).
+ Good knowledge of climate change risk assessment and adaptation planning for government and/or private sector clients including on topics such as the impact of climate change on infrastructure, the natural environment, financial sector and waste management.
+ Good knowledge on climate change policies, planning and national adaptation plans in the GCC (or other regions)
+ Estidama, Envision, and/or LEED AP and/or BREEAM AP ((additional credentials a plus).
+ Good knowledge on the latest trends in sustainability field and finding ways to implement them synergistically.
+ Analytical skills, detail oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team, on multiple large-scale projects in parallel.

**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead - Utilities to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee technical projects within the utilities sector, driving innovation and ensuring operational excellence.
The Technical manager will be responsible for planning work assignments, providing technical reviews, project and quality management and daily oversight and support to team, serving as an advisor within wet utilities. Requires a broad multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering. Should be considered a subject matter expert in wet utilities field. Must possess excellent technical skills in pressurised and non pressurised utilities design.
**Team Management:**
Supports the Associate Director/ Director in implementing the overall discipline strategic goals. Supervises groups of engineers and technicians and coordinates the activities. Accountable for the team's utilisation targets. Ensures that project design teams comply with project execution plans, including design management, project management and BIM management plans, and adhered to throughout the project delivery process. Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by the team. Provides input to the development of the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. May be required to participate in recruitment activities. Carries out performance reviews of the staff within the team and acts as a mentor. Able to monitor and track the budget for the overall project of their specific discipline. Focusses on team development and creating excellent team culture emphasizing on collaboration.
**Technical Excellence:**
Able to solve complex problems and provide solutions to wet utilities design such as potable water, sewage system, storm water, irrigation, district cooling, hydrology etc. Provide technical support to the team and act as main point of contact for other disciplines for all wet utilities related tasks. Able to undertake hand on design work as and when required.
Resolves issues or problems concerning conflicting requirements or complex coordination.
Excellent report writing skills, prepares technical specifications and completes feasibility studies and adds input and value to the designs. Performs quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings by following policies and procedures and serves as Lead Verifier, confirming that the technical approach satisfies the client scope of services and expectations. Contributes as an in-house expert on specific technologies or processes. Develops solutions to complex and challenging issues using engineering methodologies to define new procedures when needed. Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard industry techniques to execute work assignments. Identifies and develops new processes that lead to improved efficiency or work quality. Liaises with authorities to obtain permits and approvals and to discuss technical advances.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical effort/man-hours for projects.

**Project Management:**
Should be able to act as Project Manager on mid to large size discipline-specific projects. Has an excellent understanding of project delivery requirements.
**Client Relationship Management:**
Supports business development and selling initiatives to expand work assignments, including managing client relationships and expectations. Assists with proposals to provide services for projects and participates in bids and proposals. Leads communication with clients to discuss work scope, requests information to support project execution and resolve client comments. Presents to clients, senior leadership, and other project stakeholders to demonstrate progress and clearly explain design principles. Acts as Bid Manager on large bids.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil)
+ Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
+ Minimum 15 years of experience in the utility industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
+ Proven expertise in utility infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and energy efficiency

**Job Summary- Electrical Engineer**
Reports to the Project Lead/ Senior Discipline Engineer/ Manager on site. Oversees, reviews & manages and monitors implementation of the construction documents on site. Responsible to manage teams of discipline Inspectors on site. Supports the Project Lead/ Senior Discipline Engineer/ Manager technically and liaises with the design office, contractor and client counterparts to ensure that the construction is carried out in accordance with plans and specifications.
**Job Duties**
+ The incumbent performs a broad cross-section of complex technical and administrative activities requiring extensive experience and specialization in Contract Compliance, Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) inspection of electrical scope related to the project
+ Analyses applicable codes, standards and project contract documents and monitors construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents.
+ Interprets or clarifies contract documents for Contractors.
+ Maintains and prepares a variety of records, including daily/weekly progress reports, material accounting records, change orders and record drawings.
+ Provide assistance to the Project Engineer/Site Engineer.
+ Responsible for supervising, directing and coordinating the inspection team.
+ Conduct weekly meetings with inspectors and Project Engineer.
+ Ensuring that responses are complete and in compliance with the contract documents. Where problems are found, work with Project Engineer to resolve.
+ Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.
+ Assist the Senior Discipline engineer to identify, respond to or evaluate technical issues to maintain the schedule.
+ Highlights any violations to construction/ engineering related issues on site through issuance of NCRs
+ Attends progress review meetings and coordination meetings to assist the Project Lead/Senior Engineer in resolving any site issues such as discrepancies in project's drawings.
+ Participates in the coordination and monitoring of snagging and project handover
+ Provide support to Resident Engineer/Team lead to ensure projects run smoothly by providing expert knowledge and advice.
+ Liaises with the Design Engineer on modifications if required.
+ Gives daily site reports and highlights issues that arise on site to the Project Lead.
+ Contributes in the preparation of all kinds of reports and as directed by the project lead.
+ Monitor Health and Safety of the construction works and report on the same. If required stop the construction works if unsafe practices are being followed.
Minimum 12 years demonstrable experience in the design and all aspects of supervision and project administration of the electrical works related to large-scale projects within Middle East in the consulting industry
