Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will supervise the creation of electrical engineering designs for HV, MV, LV systems and networks for large infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations. Job Purpose:
This position is a unique opportunity to work with DEWA and be involved in the Installation & commissioning of 132/11 kV transmission substations, and 11kV Distribution substation equipment by organizing commissioning and installation activities in coordination with DEWA sections, departments, contractors/consultants with an objective of achieving commissioning targets.
Your main duties will be to:
- 132/11kv substations site visits before commencing distribution equipment such as 11kV Switchgear, capacitor bank, and cables for new projects.
- Assist in verification of drawing submittals related to 11kv substation equipment. Assist in reviewing of 11kV equipment design and giving comments for processing the dispatch.
- Assist in monitoring project execution and liaising with contractors and sections of DEWA for ensuring timely completion of work. Assist in ensuring that the work is carried out as per DEWA procedures and standards.
- Assist in checking the healthiness of the equipment and the distribution system through equipment tests and relay tests before commissioning substations. Assist in the return of substation equipment in coordination with Asset Management and Stores.
- Assist in preparing all relevant technical reports regarding work completion before forwarding them to planning section and other departments of DEWA.
- Ensure that the commissioned substations are formally handed over to Distribution Asset Management department after the completion of works in order to maintain them.
- Arrange inter-sectional & inter-departmental meetings as well as meetings with consultants/contractors in order to resolve works related issues and contribute to efficient work planning and execution.
- Assist in preparing unit-level budget and ensure optimum utilization of the same.
- Responsible for assisting in the achievement of unit-level KPIs.

- Follow and adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual as per DEWA's safety standards.
