Job Objectives:

To lead, organize, and execute all catering operations, delivering premium-quality service and products while achieving business targets and upholding the Home Bakery brand experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full catering process from inquiry to execution, including planning, logistics, staffing, and service.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all catering clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with culinary and service teams to design menus and service styles tailored to each event.
  • Coordinate the preparation, transportation, and setup of catering equipment and products at event locations.
  • Lead and supervise staff during events to ensure professional service, efficiency, and hospitality.
  • Handle any service issues or client concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Track and report on catering performance metrics, client feedback, and operational improvements.
  • Manage catering inventory, procurement, and cost controls specific to event needs.
  • Conduct regular team training to ensure adherence to food safety standards, brand consistency, and service excellence.
  • Maintain detailed records for events, invoices, staff hours, and post-event analysis.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in catering management, hospitality operations, or event planning in the UAE.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first mindset.
  • Deep understanding of catering logistics, food safety regulations, and service standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in Hospitality/Event Management is an advantage.

Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g. filing sending emails typing faxing copying).     • Identify gaps in the guest experience that affect Guest Loyalty & Retention and ensure that these gaps are addressed and give feedback to the respective teams
    • Follow up on expiring client’ contracts
    • Follow up and collect client’s due payment

    Team Management

    • Ensure that all direct reports’ level of performance meets expectations and according to specified role expectations
    • Design, Improvement & Implementation of Policies and
    • Procedures related to Sales Management & Client
    • Relationship Management
    • Ensure all processes related to Sales are carried out in accordance to the standards
    • Ensure Catering Teams are operating within the group standards and plan for improvement as when required

    Reporting

    • Consolidate and analyze information reflecting impact of sales to business result
    • Analyze P&L information in comparison to the approved budget and identify the gaps to be able to plan for specific improvements
    • Communicate, recommend and implement an action plan to address any identified gaps

    Budget Preparation and Review

    • Prepare the budget, conduct regular budget reviews and ensure that budget on track

    Desired Candidate Profile

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Must be a graduate (from any discipline)
    • Must have at least 5-6 years of experience from Bakery & Catering Industry (HoReCa & Trading segment)
    • Must be proficient on analyzing & reporting skills

    Job Description

    The Catering Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence and business growth across catering services. He/she manages a team to ensure exceptional event delivery, while actively sources and develops new client relationships and sales opportunities through strategic marketing and business development efforts.

    Responsibilities

    - Proactively identify, evaluate, and pursue new catering business opportunities to expand the client base and drive revenue.

    - Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement strategies that promote catering services and brand visibility.

    - Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of catering events to ensure seamless delivery, high service standards, and customer satisfaction.

    - Develop and implement SOPs to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high-quality service across all catering operations.

    - Work closely with culinary teams to develop innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality menu offerings aligned with client needs.

    - Manage inventory and logistics including transportation, event setup and breakdown, and the procurement of equipment and supplies. Monitor food and beverage costs, control waste, and identify opportunities to enhance profitability.

    - Schedule and supervise catering staff to ensure proper coverage, timely attendance, and smooth event execution.

    - Negotiate and manage contracts and relationships with clients, vendors, and service providers to ensure favorable pricing and service levels.

    - Ensure catering operations are aligned with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and company standards.

    - Prepare, monitor, and manage event-specific budgets and provide post-event financial reporting and performance analysis.

    - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry professionals to support operational effectiveness and repeat business.

    - Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.

    - Address customer issues and complaints during events promptly and professionally to maintain satisfaction.

    - Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve service delivery and customer experience.

    - Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base, and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company.
