JOB PURPOSE:
To monitor and facilitate the implementation of fire prevention, occupational health, and environmental protection policies and procedures, as well as the Corporate Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS) within the Operation Group. The goal is to ensure operations and facilities align with ADNOC HSE and JIG HSE requirements, and to prevent or minimize incidents, injuries, and damage to employees, customers, contractors, facilities, and equipment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Safety and HSE Risk Management
- Manage a team of HSE Engineers, Inspectors, and Security Teams across Civil Aviation Facilities and other sites. Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to control risks within tolerable limits.
- Develop and implement HSE procedures in accordance with corporate policies.
- Assist divisions such as Aviation Operation, Supply Chain, Production, and Maintenance in managing safety-critical risks.
- Identify hazards, evaluate risks, monitor compliance, and ensure mitigation measures are effective.
- Participate in safety studies like HAZOPs, HAZID, ENVID, and others.
- Support HSE audits and lead risk assessment workshops.
Inspection and Monitoring
- Conduct inspections, audits, and surveys to ensure HSE procedures are followed.
- Report hazards, unsafe acts, and near misses; develop action plans for remediation.
- Lead management HSE tours and site inspections, ensuring timely closure of findings.
- Investigate critical incidents and facilitate corrective actions.
- Inspect contractor camps and coordinate contractor mobilization and renewal processes.
Fire Safety Equipment Maintenance Management
- Develop maintenance and replacement programs for fire-fighting equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for regular testing and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 25 and other standards for firefighting systems.
Emergency Response and Crisis Management
- Implement emergency response procedures and conduct drills.
- Coordinate with emergency teams and develop annual exercise schedules.
Stakeholder Management and Committees
- Maintain relationships with regulators, armed forces, and critical facilities.
- Participate in safety committees and emergency response drills.
New Projects
- Review project proposals to ensure safety features are included during design.
- Participate in review of engineering deliverables related to safety systems.
Safety Training and Communication
- Conduct safety training and awareness programs.
- Develop safety campaigns and ensure continuous competency development.
Periodic Reporting
- Prepare and submit HSE reports regularly.
- Report incidents and track corrective actions.
Governance and Administration
- Develop audit terms of reference and facilitate audits.
- Manage audit findings and action plans.
- Conduct welfare audits and contractor performance evaluations.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HSE, Safety, Technical, or Science disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in Oil and Gas, including 5 years in managerial roles.
- Strong knowledge of HSE principles, JIG requirements, and applicable standards (OSHA, NFPA, ADNOC standards).
- Excellent safety culture development skills.
- Proficient in English communication and Microsoft Office.
- NEBOSH International Diploma or at least NEBOSH IGC Certificate.

About the Role
Reporting to the Cabin Crew Manager (CCM), the main role and function of a Flight Attendant team member is the provision of safe professional flights in conformance with stipulated DC Aviation Al-Futtaim company procedures. In addition, these duties shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority regulations. Flight safety shall be the main objective, followed by customer satisfaction through excellence in service.
Primary Duties:
- Ensuring all GCAA and DC Aviation Al-Futtaim company requirements are upheld when reporting for duty (correct documentation is carried; fit to fly and carry out all Cabin Crew duties).
- Participating in pre-flight safety briefing with Cockpit Crew and Purser.
- Maintaining and adhering to DC Aviation Al-Futtaim grooming standards.
- Conducting pre-flight checks of on-board Safety & Emergency equipment in their relevant area, reporting any defects to the Commander immediately.
- Conducting a pre-flight and post-flight security check in their relevant area, reporting a cabin clear or any findings to the Commander immediately.
- Conducting a pre-flight check on the cabin management system and in-flight entertainment system, reporting any defects to the Commander immediately.
- Sourcing, ordering, checking and storing all in-flight catering in a safe, professional manner.
- Ensuring pre-flight that all required service equipment, cabin amenities and required documentation are available and in good working order.
- Welcomes and assists guests during the boarding process.
- Confidently conducts the required DC Aviation Al-Futtaim pre-flight passenger safety briefing.
- Promptly passing the ‘Cabin Secure’ notification to the Cockpit Crew.
- Providing excellent DCAF Quality Customer Service in-flight to all guest, assisting any guests which may require special attention.
- Ensuring the cabin, galley, washrooms and crew rest area are kept clean, tidy and secured during, taxi, take-off, turbulence and landing.
- Assisting guests during the disembarkation process and ensuring all relevant arrival documentation (such as Immigration & Customs landing cards) have been completed prior to doors opening.
- Communicating any cabin/equipment issues to the Commander for inclusion in the TLB.
- Completing a DC Aviation Al-Futtaim Voyage Report after each duty/flight and sending the report to the CCM.
- Cleaning, re-stocking and de-catering the aircraft.
- Attending a monthly Aircraft Review Day.
- Assisting when required at the DC Aviation Al-Futtaim FBO facility.
- Other duties / tasks as assigned by management within scope of area of responsibility
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Successful completion of GCAA approved aircraft specific Safety & Emergency training.
