AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for highly experienced Senior Fire Life Safety (FLS) engineer with experience in transportation sector. Candidate should have worked in a similar role with proven track record of working in critical government infrastructure projects preferably in transportation projects. Prior experience working as part of a PMC team will be a plus. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major metro rail project, ensuring the effective management of the assets. Roles and Responsibilities :

Design Review:
  • Review and approve fire life safety designs and plans submitted by the D&B contractor to ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, smoke control systems, and emergency lighting.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to the D&B contractor to address any design deficiencies or improvements.
  • Ensure that fire life safety considerations are integrated into the overall project design and construction phases.

Construction Supervision:
  • Oversee the implementation of fire life safety systems during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to approved designs and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify the proper installation and functionality of fire life safety systems.
  • Monitor the D&B contractor's compliance with fire safety regulations, codes, and standards throughout the construction process.
  • Coordinate with the D&B contractor to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to fire life safety systems.

Testing and Commissioning:
  • Supervise the testing and commissioning of fire life safety systems to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Review and approve test plans, procedures, and results submitted by the D&B contractor.
  • Ensure that all fire life safety systems are fully operational and compliant before project handover.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Review and approve technical documentation, including design drawings, test reports, and as-built drawings related to fire life safety systems.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports, highlighting risks, achievements, and next steps to project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all fire life safety activities and ensure proper documentation is available for future reference.

Coordination and Communication:
  • Liaise with local authorities, emergency services, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated fire life safety efforts.
  • Provide training and support to project staff on fire life safety best practices and emergency response procedures.
  • Collaborate with other project teams to ensure seamless integration of fire life safety systems with other project activities.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge and Experience :
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in fire life safety engineering, preferably in rail or metro projects.
  • Proven experience in managing fire life safety systems for large-scale construction projects preferably Rail/Metro/Transportation projects.
  • Experience working in projects liaising with Dubai Civil Defense.
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • UAE project experience is highly desirable.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Weld Inspection Certification to AWS or CSWIP Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Coating/painting NACE Level II or equivalent.

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Interface and Integration Manager to lead the coordination, resolution, and governance of all internal and external interfaces across the UAE High-Speed Rail (HSR) Intercity Project - Phase 1.

Reporting to the Deputy Project Director, the Interface and Integration Manager will manage interface matrices, registers, and coordination workflows across the following key packages:
  • D&B Contractor Civil Works and Stations for Abu Dhabi
  • D&B Contractor - Civil Works and Stations for Dubai

The role requires close collaboration with the Planning department , Construction teams , and Technical Delivery leads in both geographies to ensure timely resolution of interfaces and enable operational readiness of the system.

Responsibilities:

Sector Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in interface and integration management for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably high-speed rail (HSR).
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination across civil, systems, MEP, architectural, and operational packages.

Interface Strategy & Governance

  • Identify, track, and resolve strategic interfaces requiring coordination in between major contract packages, technical interfaces between adjacent packages, governance of the internal interfaces in a package and detailed interfaces at component or system level. Also works with Stakeholder Manager to resolve external interfaces.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely submission and approval of interface-related design inputs, installation provisions, and testing protocols.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Planning Manager to ensure interface dependencies are reflected in the master schedule and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Construction Managers and Technical Delivery teams in Abu Dhabi and Dubai to ensure physical and systems integration is achieved on-site.
  • Support commissioning and handover readiness by ensuring all interface-related provisions are complete and verified.

Technical Oversight
  • Ensure compatibility of systems and structures at interface points, including:
  • Cable containment.
  • Earthing & Bonding (E&B).
  • Overhead Catenary System (OCS).
  • Drainage, fencing, access roads.
  • MEP systems and cybersecurity.

  • Maintain traceable and version-controlled Interface Register and Matrix.

Job Brief

The incumbent will be responsible for promoting products and services to customers, discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating contracts, and maintaining customer satisfaction with the aim of maximizing profits.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Adhere to all Zahrawi Policies & Procedures as applicable.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to identify new potential customers.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new products in the market and understand their advantages and disadvantages.
  • Plan and assist with new product releases and events.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.

Business Development:

  • Establish contact with new customers to inform them of our products, understanding their needs and how we can help them.
  • Provide potential customers with support, information, and guidance by performing product demonstrations and gathering their feedback.
  • Follow up with new customers after the demo session to negotiate contracts and packages.
  • Ensure all details of the contract are compliant with our rules & regulations.
  • Follow up with the Procurement & Logistics team regarding sending products and ensuring timely delivery.

Marketing:

  • Coordinate with the Marketing Department for any new materials that need to be developed.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers by providing them with support, information, and guidance.
  • Recommend new products to existing customers based on their needs and provide them with support to ensure a great relationship.
  • Assist customers in answering all product-related questions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Negotiate contracts and packages with existing customers.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing Zahrawi standards.
  • Contribute to the team effort by achieving the annual target set by management and assisting the team when needed.

Data Tracking:

  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and maintaining accurate records of all products sold.

Orders:

  • Place orders with the concerned purchase coordinator.

Invoicing:

  • Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure proper invoicing of products and follow up regarding collection/payment.

Delivery:

  • Coordinate with the warehouse for timely deliveries.

Application:

  • Conduct training sessions for customers.
  • Assist customers with the equipment being used.
  • Resolve any issues that they might face while using the equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Additional details: Candidates are preferred to be based in UAE.
  • Experience: 3 - 4 years of experience.
  • Job Specific Skills: Require a good knowledge in Medical Equipment, Urodynamics & Physiotherapy.

Education:
