The key objectives for this role are:
- Develop and optimize chemical processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring the application of best engineering practices
- Ensure the quality and integrity of process designs through rigorous review and validation
- Ensure all processes comply with safety standards and environmental regulations
- Identify and resolve issues in existing processes to maintain smooth and safe operations
- Implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance process performance and safety
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, operations teams, and stakeholders to ensure integrated and effective process solutions
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate steady state process simulation models.
- Perform heat and mass balance for the process system.
- Perform Steady state and transient hydraulic simulations (single/multiphase flow) to size production/injection pipelines.
- Review of steady-state and transient simulations to assess pressure drop, temperature profiles, hydrate/wax risks, etc.
- Provide flow assurance support for offshore production systems, pipelines, and subsea networks.
- Evaluate and recommend mitigation strategies for flow assurance challenges such as slugging, asphaltene, scale, and sand.
- Review and validate operating envelopes and production profiles for new and existing systems.
- Interface with process, pipeline, and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient flow regimes.
- Prepare technical documentation including flow assurance reports, simulation summaries, and risk assessments.

Expected:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in flow assurance engineering.
- Offshore production and multiphase flow experience is required.
- Hands-on experience with flow assurance software (e.g., OLGA, PIPESIM, HYSYS) is preferred.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards and offshore pipeline operations is an advantage.

Job Summary.
Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer is accountable for producing and maintaining related deliverables (including, but not limited to Calculations, Datasheets, Technical specifications, Material Requisitions, Technical bid evaluations, Schedules, MTO's, Review GAD's, detail drawings, Work volumes) in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications within the schedule and budget as set-out by the Lead Engineer. - Lead, coordinate, mentor and manage discipline teams on projects when needed.
- Ensure safe, effective and successful implementation of Electrical and Instrumentation engineering activities within budget and schedule requirements.
- Participate in engineering assignments such as assisting with the development of specifications, datasheets, calculations, drawings, material take-offs
- Prepare Material requisition, technical bid evaluations and review vendor drawings
- Getting the required inputs from respective disciplines for designing the structures and managing the weight control during various stages of project.
- Giving the inputs to designers for them to prepare the drawing. To lead the designer team and taking ownership of the job given.
- Preparing a design that is most suitable for the intended purpose and that suits to the functional requirement of other disciplines and meet customer needs.
- Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data from other parties/execution offices.
- Take part in 3D Model reviews, Construction reviews, Design reviews
- Review materials take-offs and bill of materials. Ensure that the quantities are within budget and any changes are documented with approval from Lead Engineer/ Engineering Manager/Project manager.
- Bring to the attention of the necessary parties, any problems, assistance or matters that may affect quality, deadlines or costs.
- Establish good working relationships and communication with all Leads, Managers and clients.
- Interface with Subcontractors, Suppliers and Vendors for completion of engineering activities
- Assist in the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering activities on projects, tenders under the direction of Lead Engineer
- Adhere to the HSE requirements stipulated by Company/Clients
- Ready to attend the sub-vendor FAT and visit yard during construction and understand improvements needed in design
- Maintain Quality documentation and report any non-compliances for process improvement.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of work experience in the Oil & Gas industry with at least 10 years in similar position i.e. working for EPC Projects in Oil & Gas sector in analysis, design and detailing.
- Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Systems, Automation or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience in the use of software like AUTOCAD and Navisworks
- Must have good working knowledge of codes and standards (ISA, IEC, BS, ASME, API, ISO, etc.)
- A basic understanding of constructability, operability and maintainability requirements.
- Verbal and written communication using English is compulsory.

- Analyse tender documents (RFPs, RFQs, ITTs) and identify key requirements for your discipline.

- Conduct risk assessments and identify deviations or clarifications.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and technical data.
- Support through Wood approval process as required.
- Support negotiations and post-tender clarifications with clients.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure all tender documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with client specifications.
- Maintain records of submitted tenders and track outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, finance, legal, etc.) to ensure proposal accuracy.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Thermal Process design in preparation and review of specifications, data sheets, process drawings such as PFDs / P&IDs / DPTDs / PSFS etc. and other process deliverables on a project. for process design in preparation and review of specifications, data sheets and analysis of Process engineering requirements such as PFDs / P&IDs / DPTDs / PSFS etc. on a project
Prepare and review the basis of design, undertake detailed calculations to develop the design and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations
Carry out process simulation using HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, PipeNet and Pipesim etc. and prepare heat and material balance
Carryout equipment sizing, line sizing, pump hydraulics, safety relief calculations and produce process calculation report
Carryout dynamic simulation study, transient study, surge study, Minimum Metal Design Temperature (MDMT) study, etc.
Carryout depressurization studies, flare load estimation and flare system design
Ensuring that the design is carried out as per the industry standard practices and in conformance with the quality management system
Participate in PHA, HAZOP and other safety reviews
Be willing to mentor and engage in the training and development of junior engineers in the team.
Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Lead Engineer / Discipline heads
Assimilating the evolution of new products and technology and updating oneself on the latest international standards in terms of engineering design practices and their applications
Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing, and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems and assist Project and client team for decision making
As Senior Discipline Engineer, when assigned on projects, responsible for managing the team of engineers and designers and delivering the engineering requirements of the project
Support on tender or proposal, as per client standards, international codes, and project scope of work
Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and pre - qualification documents in what relates to Process engineering design
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry
Proficient in Process Simulation software's such as HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, PipeNet, Pipesim, OLGA etc.
Work experience in major offshore brownfield projects is an added advantage
Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
