Job Description
Responsible for obtaining approvals for materials submittal in all activities.
+ Responsible for preparing Asphalt mix designs of various types i.e. Base, Binder and wearing course, obtaining approvals from consultantEngineers and ensuring the same to be produced from Asphalt plant.
+ Responsible for preparation of various concrete mix designs and conducted plant trials to ensuring the quality of concrete mix.
+ Responsible for interaction with consultants and client for day-to-day activities that take place at site regarding workmanship of the product quality standard maintain for the work.
+ Control of Non-Confirming product at site and inspection of all incoming materials to the site.
+ Ensuring maintenance of all Quality management documents and Record Viz plans, Inspection, test record and chick list.
+ developing, modifying, testing, and evaluating materials
+ providing technical advice about the suitability of materials diagnosing faults
+ advising on, planning, and organising inspections, maintenance, and repairs
+ overseeing operational quality control processes
+ liaising with suppliers, customers, and manufacturing/development staff
+ supervising technical staff
+ Conduct and ensure in-depth Fracture Analysis and Technical Reports.
+ Maintain cycle time objective within responsibility areas.
+ Address materials and process concerns from suppliers, manufacturing, and customers.
+ Offer material information and data to Engineering.
+ Update material logs.
+ Test at external sources.
+ Interpret results, write reports, and communicate with client representative engineers.
+ Analyse product failure data and laboratory test results in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
+ Conduct or supervise tests on raw materials or finished products to ensure their quality.
+ Design and direct the testing and/or control of processing procedures.
+ Determine appropriate methods for construction of works.
+ Monitor material performance and evaluate material deterioration.
+ Plan and implement laboratory operations for the purpose of developing material testing procedures that meet project specification, and performance standards.
+ Review material submittals and make recommendations for material selection based on specification objectives, such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electrical conductivity, and cost.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Aware of Abu Dhabi Standards and Regulations
Aware of Roads, Structures, and Civil Infrastructure Works
10 years experience overall 5 years experience in the UAE PREFERRED

Job Title: Costing Engineer Location:  Dubai Experience Required:  4 to 5 Years Salary:  Depends upon experience Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Costing Engineer to join our client’s engineering or manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing production and operational costs, preparing accurate cost estimations, and assisting in budgeting and pricing strategies. This role plays a key part in decision-making processes related to cost control, product pricing, and profitability analysis.Key Responsibilities

Prepare cost estimates and budgets based on product specifications, labor, materials, and other relevant factors.

Analyze manufacturing processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Track and review actual costs against estimates and report variances.

Collaborate with engineering, procurement, production, and finance departments to collect and analyze data.

Prepare detailed costing reports for internal use and client presentations.

Assist in setting standard costs for products and update them as necessary.

Conduct profitability analysis for different product lines and suggest pricing strategies.

Support the finance department in audits, compliance, and reporting.

Maintain documentation of costing records and ensure accuracy and traceability.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related field) or Cost Accounting.

Postgraduate qualifications in Costing or Financial Management (preferred but not mandatory).

Skills Required

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Proficiency in costing software (such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).

Good understanding of manufacturing processes and cost components.

Advanced skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is actively looking for a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor  to join our growing team. The Mechanical Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for quantifying actual work in accordance with contractual terms, comparing with bid quantities, and preparing re-measurement reports, variation proposals, and invoices. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, deadlines, and commercial requirements.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with the company’s policies, systems, and procedures to maintain controlled and compliant project execution.Follow all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) protocols, as well as Information Security standards, to uphold a safe and secure workplace.Analyze scope of work, review contract documentation, and evaluate related correspondence for clarity and alignment.Estimate man-hours per trade in accordance with project scope, bid documentation, and established norms.Interpret engineering drawings and collaborate with Engineering and Trade teams to prepare accurate re-measurement reports.Submit re-measurement reports and variation proposals in line with contractual terms and timelines.Conduct on-site inspections to validate completed works and assist in drafting variation claims.Support the Cost Engineer in sourcing and negotiating with lump-sum contractors, ensuring clarity of scope and pricing agreements.Verify subcontractor invoices to confirm compliance with agreed scopes and rates.Foster effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project communication.Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders to clarify and support submitted claims and reports.Oversee junior staff to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant completion of tasks.Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and boost productivity in alignment with best practices.Prepare and deliver timely, accurate reports to the Commercial Department per company requirements.Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations, and report any observed non-compliance or risks during field activities.Perform any additional duties as assigned to support department and project objectives.
