Job Summary :

This role involves overseeing procedures, processes, quality, compliance, risks, and technical aspects of the projects. You will collaborate with project management and quality teams to ensure technical deliverables meet specifications and design criteria.

Location is a short-term assignment at the project head office in Abu Dhabi, UAE (up to 12 months), with potential on-site assignment thereafter.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Oversee technical assurance on the project.
  • Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Prepare project procedures, design criteria, and specifications.
  • Conduct audits of technical deliverables.
  • Investigate non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure technical compliance with the customer and collaborate with project teams.
  • Manage submissions to regulatory authorities.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation measures.
  • Provide training to discipline-specific personnel.

Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Engineering Bachelor's / Master's degree from an accredited institution, with 20+ years of technical project management experience.
  • Professional license preferred.
  • Experience in the MENA region and understanding of regional norms.
  • Excellent English communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, with a knowledge-sharing approach.
  • Problem-solving skills with lateral thinking, understanding client needs, and providing technical compliance and training.

Responsibilities:
• You will be the go-to Systems Assurance person in the team.
• Responsible for the overall system assurance program
• Working experience of hazard identification and risk assessment (HAZID/HAZOP), Safety Integrity Level Assessment (SIL), Functional Safety Assessment, Safety Verification and Validation management, Development of Safety Cases (Design/Final/Operation), RAM Modelling and Prediction Analysis (Reliability Block Diagram RBD), Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Corrective and Preventative Maintenance Analysis, RAM Demonstration Test Planning & execution, Failure Recording Analysis Corrective Systems (FRACAS) planning and execution, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Defect Liability Period (DLP) Planning and Execution, Availability Modelling and other RAMS studies and analysis.
• Experience in the application of systems assurance standards such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, IEC 61508 etc.
• Understanding of the complete life cycle of the railway transportation projects;
• Functional understanding of the rail systems such as rolling stock including locomotives, wagons, passenger trains and other forms of rolling stock, signalling & train control, traction power system, track works, platform screen doors, automatic fare collection system, depot equipment/plants, operation control centre, building automation control systems, building electrical and mechanical services, civil structural, architectural works etc.
• Analytical mindset with excellent verbal & written communication in English and ability to interact with non-specialist technical team members;
• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment involving the client and flexible enough to carry out any tasks required to complete RAMS tasks;
• Review and acceptance of RAMS deliverables.
• Prepared to and be able to travel throughout the Middle East and India.
• Self-time management skills to meet tight delivery requirements.

Requirements:
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree of relevant years' experience. Member of appropriate professional institution(s) (Preferable)
• Overall experience 10 to 15 years out of which at least 07 years of full-time experience in performing RAMS works on rail transportation systems
• Experience/knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility assurance studies and analysis, human factor and fire life safety management, life cycle cost analysis, software management, security management.
• Hands-on experience in system assurance and system engineering software tools such as Isograph Reliability Workbench (RWB), Isograph Availability Workbench (AVSim+), Comply Pro requirement management tool etc.
• Middle East or other offshore experience will be highly regarded

  • Coordinate with MOH officials for timely approval of import/export activities.

Oversee the management of product recalls, returns, and destruction, including regulatory notifications, dispatch of recall letters, and coordination with MOH approval and collection processes in line with SOPs.

Imports, Exports & Logistics
  • Manage import and export permits and approvals for shipment release from MOH.
  • Coordinate with Logistics for import permit requirements and with principal companies for documentation.
  • Ensure necessary documents are attached before submission for registration (e.g., registration certificate, packing list).
  • Coordinate with MOH officials for timely approval of import/export activities.
  • Verify shipment details against import permits before MOH submission.
  • Handle submission of release forms, supplier invoices, and batch samples for MOH approval.
  • Re-export rejected items and liaise with MOH officials.
  • Update logistics on shipment details and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Ensure cold storage goods are received in good condition as per quality procedures and policies.
  • Monitor semi-controlled goods from importation to dispatch, ensuring compliance with MOH and DOH requirements, and submit monthly reports.
  • Address customer complaints and review expired/near expiry item reports, ensuring proper handling and updates in Oracle.
Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with MOH personnel and regulatory authorities.
  • Facilitate successful product launches through ongoing communication with regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct regular visits and calls to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in pharmacy.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance, or Lean Six Sigma is desirable.

For our office in Dubai, we are looking for
System Assurance Manager - 100% (m/f)

The Ideal Candidate will have minimum of 15 years of experience in systems assurance, quality assurance, or safety management in the transportation industry, preferably in metro/rail project and operations and will be comfortable leading a team and working within the senior management team and should be able to face client when needed and present and manage the status of the work. We are seeking someone with a track record of managing and producing all aspects from RAM, System Safety , Configuration Management , Requirement Management, EMC, Human Factor & Ergonomics, Fire Life Safety , VTA & Security Management with a support team.
Responsibilities:

• You will be the go-to Systems Assurance person in the team.

• Responsible for the overall system assurance program

• Working experience of hazard identification and risk assessment (HAZID/HAZOP), Safety Integrity Level Assessment (SIL), Functional Safety Assessment, Safety Verification and Validation management, Development of Safety Cases (Design/Final/Operation), RAM Modelling and Prediction Analysis (Reliability Block Diagram RBD), Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Corrective and Preventative Maintenance Analysis, RAM Demonstration Test Planning & execution, Failure Recording Analysis Corrective Systems (FRACAS) planning and execution, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Defect Liability Period (DLP) Planning and Execution, Availability Modelling and other RAMS studies and analysis.

• Experience in the application of systems assurance standards such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, IEC 61508 etc.

• Understanding of the complete life cycle of the railway transportation projects;

• Functional understanding of the rail systems such as rolling stock including locomotives, wagons, passenger trains and other forms of rolling stock, signalling & train control, traction power system, track works, platform screen doors, automatic fare collection system, depot equipment/plants, operation control centre, building automation control systems, building electrical and mechanical services, civil structural, architectural works etc.

• Analytical mindset with excellent verbal & written communication in English and ability to interact with non-specialist technical team members;

• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment involving the client and flexible enough to carry out any tasks required to complete RAMS tasks;

• Review and acceptance of RAMS deliverables.

• Prepared to and be able to travel throughout the Middle East and India.

• Self-time management skills to meet tight delivery requirements.

• Flexible attitude to balance work load and deadlines.
Requirements:

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree of relevant years' experience. Member of appropriate professional institution(s) (Preferable)

• Overall experience 10 to 15 years out of which at least 07 years of full-time experience in performing RAMS works on rail transportation systems

• Experience/knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility assurance studies and analysis, human factor and fire life safety management, life cycle cost analysis, software management, security management.

• Hands-on experience in system assurance and system engineering software tools such as Isograph Reliability Workbench (RWB), Isograph Availability Workbench (AVSim+), Comply Pro requirement management tool etc.

• Middle East or other offshore experience will be highly regarded

• Experience in mainline freight railway, passenger railway or metro/LRT.

• An understanding of requirement management and configuration management in terms of RAMS

• Presentation skills: Good computer skills in MS Office and specialised software tools.

• Middle East Experience Preferred
