Job Description

Job Purpose : To gather and analyse data that can be used to guide an assigned business units decision making and improve its performance. Identify requirements and design and implement reporting systems based on these needs seeking buy-in from key stakeholders on their use. Keep the assigned business unit up to date on emerging business reporting technologies and integrate their use into the existing reporting eco-system, ensuring the eco-system is as automated as possible.

Job Outline :

Responsible for maintaining the existing business reporting eco-system, ensuring all reports are running and delivering their expected value to the business. Work with the business unit to correct any issues that arise with day-to-day reporting.

Responsible for working directly with decision makers and end users to understand and define possible future reporting goals, needs, and requirements to support departmental KPI?s and objectives for the next 12 month period. Maintain a long-term development pipeline based on these requirements.

Responsible for developing business reporting technology to understand how it can fit into and enhance the existing eco-system in place in different business units by working closely with Enterprise analytics and industry partners.

Responsible for reporting standards across different business units to develop uniform and consistent business reporting. Ensure detailed documentation according to project requirements and maintain high quality communications at all times. Manage documents and maintain processes related to all standard reporting.

Responsible for mentoring and developing colleagues in assigned business unit to enhance their understanding and adoption of business reporting technologies and outputs.

Responsible for managing performance reviews, providing supervision, training and guidance to any reporting team.

Qualifications & Experience : Engineering.Other : 5+ Years

Degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business / Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or Engineering

  • Experience in business analysis in a technical field.
  • Experience in BI Applications (Power BI, Business Objects, SAP, Crystal, object-oriented programming and other data analysis programs)
  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
  • Ability to use SQL and advanced data analysis techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
  • Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results
  • General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow
  • Knowledge of BI Reporting Tools (Business Objects, Micro Strategy, Power BI) essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Eco System (Forms, Lists, Excel, Power Automate, Power BI) essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint (Online / OnPrem) and related technologies is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Database architecture and development (Oracle, Dataverse, Access, Sharepoint) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities of Business Analyst-Regulatory Reporting

Work as a Techno Functional team member representing Finance teams during implementation of Projects, URFs / CRs and enhancements of Finance information systems, applications in the area of Regulatory, Financial & Management reporting, by interfacing between various Finance Technology,Operations, Business streams & PMO
Work with Finance Information team & Projects team and Technology teams to carry out UAT in Finance information systems, for Regulatory Financial & Management reporting systems & surviving applications to ensure accuracy of information and reporting.
Design & Develop Procedures, queries & templates in a standard and re-usable fashion for executing and completing the UAT in a timely fashion.
Highlight to management any potential issues in projects, BAU and regular deliverables, MIS generation due to any flaws, work around / manual approach being taken in the source systems and processes for future resolutions.
Handle queries and attend to any periodic and ADHOC Reporting requirements from primarily Regulatory, Financial & Management reporting team & other Finance teams of UAE & Overseas.
Initiate, Track and ensure timely resolution of service tickets related to Core banking, T24,ERP,PRIME,FMC,OFSAA, CPR and other surviving applications that impact Regulatory, Financial , Management and MIS Reporting for UAE & Overseas.
Provide support on ADHOC,BAU requirements month end execution and reporting for Regulatory, Financial & Management reporting team.

Qualification Required for Business Analyst-Regulatory Reporting

Minimum 5+ Years of experience in Banking / Financial industry.
Hands on experience on Oracle PL SQL
Hands on experience on MS SQL
Advanced MS Excel skill
Good knowledge on Banking Operations & functions, Products & reporting structure
Analytical thinking
Techno functional background
Strong system skill
Expert in planning and execution of UAT for projects of varied sizes

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Reporting Analyst with deep expertise in Power BI to support data-driven decision-making in the electricity power transmission sector. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide insights into grid performance, asset health, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets from EMS and asset management systems, and a strong understanding of power transmission operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics such as transmission losses, load forecasts, outage events, and asset performance.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources including EMS, GIS, and ERP platforms into Power BI.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and regulatory teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable visualizations.
  • Optimize Power BI data models for performance and scalability.
  • Automate data refreshes and reporting workflows using Power BI Service and Power Query.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide training and support to internal users on Power BI tools and best practices.
  • Stay updated on Power BI features and industry trends to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a reporting or data analysis role, with a strong focus on Power BI.

  • Assist in the migration of legacy SQL Reporting Services reports to Power BI.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data visualisation.


The Successful Applicant
  • Proven experience as a Reporting Analyst, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly understand and interpret complex business requirements.
  • Proficiency in querying data from SQL Server databases.
  • Solid experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI.
  • An understanding of key business metrics related to customer lifecycle, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Any exposure to Python or Machine Learning concepts is highly preferred to support moving towards more predictive analytics
