We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineering Specialist to join our team.

This role requires a strong background in process engineering, with expertise in the design and development of process systems for industrial infrastructure and oil & gas projects. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of local and international standards, as well as statutory and regulatory specifications.

The Process Engineering Specialist will be responsible for leading and managing the design and delivery of process systems, including treatment of water and wastewater, intakes and pumping stations, utilities, and drainage. This will involve preparing and overseeing the production of engineering deliverables, including technical reports, written calculations, design briefs, specifications, data sheets, drawings, schedules, tender bid evaluations, contract documentation, and other relevant documents.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the technical quality, coordination, integrity, cost-effectiveness, and profitability of designs produced. They will follow established design guidelines, standards, and procedures to effectively execute assigned work.

This is a critical role that requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to interface with other members of the design and management team on multiple discipline projects. The successful candidate will be able to guide clients and project teams, and will be responsible for identifying issues and problems, developing appropriate solutions, and asking for assistance when required.

The Process Engineering Specialist will be expected to keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in process engineering, and will be responsible for mentoring junior members of staff and assisting in their career development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design and delivery of process systems for industrial infrastructure and oil & gas projects
• Prepare and oversee the production of engineering deliverables, including technical reports, written calculations, design briefs, specifications, data sheets, drawings, schedules, tender bid evaluations, contract documentation, and other relevant documents
• Ensure the technical quality, coordination, integrity, cost-effectiveness, and profitability of designs produced
• Follow established design guidelines, standards, and procedures to effectively execute assigned work

Requirements:

• Strong background in process engineering, with expertise in the design and development of process systems for industrial infrastructure and oil & gas projects
• Excellent knowledge of local and international standards, as well as statutory and regulatory specifications
• Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in industry software for water/wastewater engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the Middle East
• Experience in industrial infrastructure projects with design in Water, Wastewater treatment, and Pumping stations
• Experience in Intake and Outfall, Desalination, Wastewater treatment projects
• Experience in the design of HVAC systems
• Experience in port and shipyard projects
• Experience as a Design Coordinator or Engineering Manager on large multi-disciplinary design projects
• Experience with managing a team, including annual appraisals, assigning tasks, team building, etc.

Job Purpose
