Ensure the proper handling of guest messages, mail, faxes, telexes, packages, flowers, etc.
Know what activities are available in the city, i.e. theater, the arts, special exhibits, concerts, shows, sports, leisure activities, sightseeing tours, etc. and to establish close contacts with people in these areas to provide information, ticketing, reservations, etc. for guests.
Establish rapport with frequent visitors; keeps Reservations and Front Office staff well-informed about guests' preferences.

Job DescriptionThe Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and maintaining compliance with all local and international accounting standards. The role supports the Finance leadership by preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and supervising a team of accountants. This role plays a key part in safeguarding the hotel’s assets and ensuring smooth financial operations.
Supervise daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with statutory requirements and hotel policies.
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and liaise with external auditors and government bodies as required.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, highlighting areas of concern or improvement.
Assist in the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts.
Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Maintain and enforce internal control policies and procedures.
Support operational departments with financial analysis and guidance.
Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff to ensure high performance.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a similar leadership role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), local regulations, and taxation.
Proficient in accounting software and hotel Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera, SUN, Oracle, SAP).
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
