The Distribution Operations Manager (DOM) is an operational lead driving operational excellence and improvements to deliver more profitable sales for Axis and our distributors. The DOM has clear accountability to meet our agreed operational KPIs and drives the availability of stock and stock management together with our distributors. As a DOM you review revise and expand our distribution operation strategy together with local management and other key EMEA roles in distribution.
(temp. maternity replacement position from September 2025 - March 2026)
Other key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategy & Collaboration
- Drive strategic alignment through Operational Summits and Quarterly Operational Reviews with our distributors.
- Develop implement and track strategic initiatives and operational account plans with distributors.
- Collaborate with EMEA Finance & Operations to develop and align processes best practices reports and tools.
- Collaborate with DAMs and DOMs in EMEA and locally to provide one voice and one strategy to our distributors
Account Management & Engagement
- Provide Account Management for local distributors acting as their contact for inventory-based questions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships across all levels within the distributor: from logistics to senior management.
- Build up profiles of distributors concerning the supply chain services they provide for Axis and other partners.
- Operations KPI tracking and reporting to facilitate efficient and effective business management internally and externally.
Inventory Management
- Optimize inventories of our product portfolio with improved availability reduced aged stock lower stock rotation etc.
- Develop/maintain project forecasting process and delivery planning with our distributors and other key stakeholders.
- Work with the Global Order Team to define and manage new processes that maximize stock efficiencies with distributors.
- Drive and manage quarterly stock rotation process with the distributors and Axis management to optimize inventory.
This position requires travels within the region and sometimes international travels.

Regional Distribution Manager (Distribution Leader)
About the RoleThe Regional Distribution Manager oversees the logistics, supply chain, and distribution of medical devices across the Gulf region, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the warehouse, fleet operations, and inventory management, as well as ensuring regulatory compliance across the GCC countries.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Management & Operations
- Work with the Warehouse Line Managers to oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of medical devices to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage inventory control systems.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for storage, handling, and distribution.
- Ensure all medical devices are stored under appropriate conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) per manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
Inventory Management & Reporting
- Ensure accurate stock levels for medical devices.
- Use inventory management systems to track incoming and outgoing products.
- Conduct regular stock audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor the expired/near expiry products monthly and prepare a report to be submitted to the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Manager.
Fleet Management

- Ensure all vehicles comply with local transport regulations, including licensing, permits, and inspections.
Regulatory Compliance Across GCC Countries
- Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and international medical device regulations, including ISO and other applicable standards.
- Maintain up-to-date licenses, permits, and certifications required by health authorities, Civil Defense, and Municipality.
Safety and Risk Management
- Develop and maintain a robust emergency response plan for the warehouse, including fire safety, spill control, and first-aid measures.
Admin
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, suppliers, and clients.
- Represent the company in various forums and meetings.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and develop warehouse and logistics staff, ensuring the team has the required skills and knowledge to perform efficiently.
Continuous Improvement and Reporting
- Prepare detailed reports on warehouse expenses, fleet costs, and variance analyses.
- Track and report the impact of operational improvements on efficiency, cost savings, and team productivity.
