Job Purpose
This position reports to the Group Director Finance of the asset management team in handling the reporting and finance function of the Investco (DP World and strategic investors). The role demands a holistic understanding of the business specifically ports, industrial parks & economic zones and logistics services with high technical skills in project appraisal and corporate finance. The job also needs a high level of understanding of commercial drivers of the business/industry.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the asset management team in business performance reporting, strategic analysis and balance sheet and capital planning.
- Maintain, standardize, update and improve all portfolio companies’ financial models and liaise with InvestCo shareholders to update key drivers and assumptions of the financial models on a regular basis.
- Prepare periodic investment performance reports and investors capital statements.
- Manage capital calls, distributions and expenses recharge.
- Manage governance and compliance with the JV agreements.
- Update the financial models for all assets based on annual forecasts submitted by the business units.
- Analyze and report on key investment KPIs.
- Provide specific investment related information to the shareholders required for their accounting and banking requirements.
- Supervise the accounting of investments in JVs and audit the accounting books of the investments and JVs.
- Implement/develop MIS and improve insight into business and investment performance.

Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Management, Commerce, Economics, Accounting or Mathematics.
- Professional qualification in accountancy or corporate finance (such as CPA/CIMA/CFA/CMA/ACA/ACCA etc) or Masters in Business Administration (or similar) and/or financial accreditations.
Experience
- 2-3 years total work experience, ideally recently qualified in a finance role (accounting, management accounting, investment banking, finance focused management consultancy) for a corporate, professional services firm or investment bank.
- Experience in investment evaluation and project management.
- Experience in the ports or general infrastructure investment industry, with an ability to demonstrate an understanding of the value of asset intensive, long life, cash generative businesses.
Skills
- Business acumen: Identify key revenue and cost drivers and understand their impact on an overall business case.
- Technological skills: MS Office proficient.
- Financial analysis: Excellent Financial Modelling capabilities to develop, understand and evaluate complex financial models to determine the accuracy of projections and potential value of a project to stakeholders.

Job Purpose
This position reports to the Group Director Finance of the asset management team in handling the reporting and finance function of the Investco (DP World and strategic investors). The role demands a holistic understanding of the business specifically ports, industrial parks & economic zones and logistics services with high technical skills in project appraisal and corporate finance. The job also needs a high level of understanding of commercial drivers of the business/industry.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the asset management team in business performance reporting, strategic analysis and balance sheet and capital planning.
- Maintain, standardize, update and improve all portfolio companies’ financial models and liaise with InvestCo shareholders to update key drivers and assumptions of the financial models on a regular basis.
- Prepare periodic investment performance reports and investors capital statements.
- Manage capital calls, distributions and expenses recharge.
- Manage governance and compliance with the JV agreements.
- Update the financial models for all assets based on annual forecasts submitted by the business units.
- Analyze and report on key investment KPIs.
- Provide specific investment related information to the shareholders required for their accounting and banking requirements.
- Supervise the accounting of investments in JVs and audit the accounting books of the investments and JVs.
- Implement/develop MIS and improve insight into business and investment performance.
- Coordinate financial accounting and reporting on investments with HO/regional/business units.
- Evaluate and execute process for new project investments & expansion/monetization/financing of existing assets under the JV by assisting in assessing the initial viability from a commercial, financial and strategic perspective.
- Assess the strategic and commercial fit of a broad range of projects including, ports, logistics, economic zones or other projects aligned to Investco Strategy.
- Mobilize the internal resources to conduct detailed due diligence on the country, market, competitive environment, legal/regulatory environment, civil engineering issues, operational requirements and funding alternatives.
- Prepare detailed financial models to project business performance and conduct sensitivity analyses in order to determine potential returns to stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations to Senior Management and Shareholders.
- Conduct post investment reviews for the assets under the JVs.
- Promote and demonstrate positive behavior in harmony with DP World’s values and culture.
- Participate in ongoing training programs within the wider organization.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly with all members of the asset management and the other HO & regional teams.

- Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Management, Commerce, Economics, Accounting or Mathematics.
- Professional qualification in accountancy or corporate finance (such as CPA/CIMA/CFA/CMA/ACA/ACCA etc) or Masters in Business Administration (or similar) and/or financial accreditations.
Experience
- 2-3 years total work experience, ideally recently qualified in a finance role (accounting, management accounting, investment banking, finance focused management consultancy) for a corporate, professional services firm or investment bank.
- Experience in investment evaluation and project management.
- Experience in the ports or general infrastructure investment industry, with an ability to demonstrate an understanding of the value of asset intensive, long life, cash generative businesses.
Skills
- Business acumen: Identify key revenue and cost drivers and understand their impact on an overall business case.
- Technological skills: MS Office proficient.
- Financial analysis: Excellent Financial Modelling capabilities to develop, understand and evaluate complex financial models to determine the accuracy of projections and potential value of a project to stakeholders.
