Job Scope
The HSE Officer provides HSE leadership, training and operational support to all levels of the organization and across all functional groups. S/He supports the Top Management in HSE Policy and Guidelines issues and ensures, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, update, review and audit of the Company HSE Systems.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure Health, Safety & Environment Standards are maintained
- Fully responsible for implementing safe systems of work and safe behavioral practices at all levels of the organization
- Provide HSE guidance to the organization and support the operation process in order to maintain and continually improve the safety culture and performance
- Develop, implement and improve HSE management systems, processes and procedures to support business operations in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301 & OSHAD - SF
- Communicate information on the HSE Management System throughout the organization and promote HSE awareness through various communication channels i.e. TBT, Safety Inductions, Training, Campaigns, discussions, emails etc. in consultation with all relevant departments
- Prepare HSE documentation for clients / projects as per the requirements and in consultation with MDS SP Site / Operations team
- Undertake HSE Inspections internally and with third parties (contractors) as per the approved inspection program of the company
- Follow up on the preventive and/or corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitor the timely closing of the actions in coordination with other departments
- Develop, facilitate and review HSE Risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with the Site/ Operations team
- Develop, implement and encourage the behavioral based safety culture in the organization through safe job observations and top management inspections
- Meet all specific HSE responsibilities which are stated by the approved HSE SOP's
- Provide technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects
- Prepare Health and Safety documentation for new tenders
- Promote a positive health and safety culture within the organization
- Ensure that safety policies and procedures are adopted and adhered to by the workforce and that the organization complies with the appropriate health and safety legislation

- Experienced in emergency response and currently holds First aid and CPR certificates
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or Engineering/Science bachelor degree.
