Hub Trading Company is a strategic business unit under the Sharjah Cooperative Society, focused on the import, export, and distribution of a wide range of consumer and commercial products. We are expanding our operations and seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain & Logistics Officer to oversee the efficient flow of goods, from international procurement to local delivery.

Job Purpose:

The Supply Chain & Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, shipping, customs clearance, inventory control, and local distribution. The role demands a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of international logistics, supplier coordination, and regulatory compliance in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate international and local shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Manage documentation for import/export, including shipping instructions, customs clearance, and compliance with UAE regulations
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder cycles in coordination with the warehouse and procurement team
  • Track shipment schedules, resolve delays, and optimize routes to reduce lead time and cost
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping documents, customs declarations, and inventory transactions

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably in the trading, FMCG, or distribution industry
  • Solid understanding of UAE import/export laws, customs clearance procedures, and logistics documentation
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and MS Office (especially Excel)

Job Summary

The Supply Chain & Logistics Assistant Manager oversees the coordination and optimization of supply chain
operations. The position is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain General Manager in various tasks and
this role involves managing inventory, monitoring transportation, and ensuring efficient logistics processes. The
role demands a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to navigate and resolve logistical
challenges effectively.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Support in developing and implementing Logistics plans in line with corporate Logistics strategy to
support overall business objectives.
2. Handle operations related to logistics - KPI, inventory, transport, Integration of information & customer
requirements.
3. Assist in evaluating the performance of vendors and make recommendations for improvements.
4. Establish and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, assist in negotiating contracts and
ensuring cost-effectiveness while implementing 3rd part logistics performance measurements.
5. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimum inventory levels at all times with key focus to
avoid aging inventory situation.
6. Implement inventory control measures to minimize damages during storage, transportation and ensure

7. Oversee preparation and maintenance of shipping and customs documentation while ensuring
compliance with international customs regulations for EXIM.
8. Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking information, and other relevant logistics data.
9. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them by proactively
addressing issues related to transportation, customs, and other logistics challenges.

10. Supervise and lead a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance by conducting regular training
sessions to enhance the skills of the logistics team.
11. Implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the logistics operations with proven ability to
resolve critical issues to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.
12. Responsible for multiple customer accounts including management and improvement of services
provided to distributors / customers.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory
    role.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, warehousing and
    inventory management.
  • Excellent communication with strong analytical, planning and organizing skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software (Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite.

A high-profile role within the Company with ultimate responsibility for an annual spend of circa $500M per annum across a diverse and geographically spread supply chain. Responsible for setting and delivering functional strategy and key functional / business objectives e.g. cost savings, working capital improvement, people development, operational/regional synergy efficiencies, insourcing, personnel deployment, policy adherence.

Key aspects of the role include being responsible for adding value through identifying efficiencies, driving out waste and reducing costs from within the supply chain, implementing and driving SCM improvement plans, development of the supply chain teams, driving processes and systems improvement and embedding compliance, assurance and common ways of working. The individual will sit as part of the divisional Supply Chain leadership team and support wider Supply Chain strategy and delivery. This role will also be a key business partner and sit on the divisional Senior Leadership team and help shape broader business strategy and performance.

We are looking for a Director Supply Chain who will be based in Dubai. This role will report to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain & Sourcing.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the SCM functions including S&OP, Production Planning, Inventory Management and warehouse/distribution network
  • Implement and lead Demand and Supply planning best practices for UAE markets including phase in and phase out planning
  • Manage warehouse and distribution network including service levels, inventory positions, complaints and costs
  • Build an organizational structure that supports the commercial operations (Business Partner Relationship)
  • Continually evaluate and optimize logistics footprint to increase service levels, reduce costs and optimize inventory
  • Further evolve financial and customer facing metrics

Your Qualifications

  • 10+ years in SCM or related functions with fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management within a global organization
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment – medical device industry as an advantage
  • Experienced in leading multiple teams
  • Open personality with good facilitation skills enabling to network and proactively influence and integrate people
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills in order to identify risks and solutions

A JAFZA based multinational is recruiting a Supply Chain & Logistics Assistant to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the supply chain, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and effective communication.

Role & Responsibilities
  1. Experience in handling Import / Export Documentation (trading environment would be an added advantage).
  2. Preparing Bank documents and Export Documents based on Letter of Credit (LC) requirement.
  3. Processing and handling Sales Order, Purchase Order, Shipment Advise and Invoicing for International customers.
  4. Preparing Purchase and Sales Summary, weekly reports on pending suppliers/customer orders.
  5. Follow up with suppliers for shipping documents.
  6. Order processing, updating the information into the system.
  7. Checking, verifying and sending the pre-alert to destinations.
  8. Updating the local and destination customs regulations from time to time.
  9. Prepare Import/Export documentations, verifying supplier invoices, debit / credit notes and other relevant documents.
  10. Communicating international operations, vendor and other internal stakeholders.
  11. Coordinating day to day activities with suppliers, customers and 3PL service providers.
  12. Ensuring the timely process and coordination with all internal and external parties.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  1. Must have 2 to 4 years of international Logistics experience.
  2. Must be proficient in MS-Office, Oracle based ERP while experience on MS Dynamics is an added advantage.
  3. High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  4. Must possess a customer focused attitude, team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
