Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape Engineer to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
Performs a variety of field engineering assignments by applying basic engineering techniques and analysis. The Landscape Engineer is exposed to various aspects of field engineering and construction activities while gaining exposure to Company procedures and industry practices. Some assignments may involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications. May give functional guidance to craft personnel.
The landscape architect/engineer will be responsible for coordinating the design, resolving issues arising from the site related to hard and soft landscaping.
Develop proposal in coordination with the Client's requirement and liaising with the designer.
Performs various field engineering assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories typically studied in a Bachelors in engineering program, as well as general industry practices.
Review Contractors submission against the Contract documents and provide necessary approval. The landscape Architect will review the shop drawings, document submittal, material and technical proposals. The approval of these drawings shall be in compliance to the Contract requirements.
Review prequalification of Contractors/subcontractors and provide necessary recommendation to the Client.
Site inspection as necessary to ensure the works executed are in compliance and acceptable
Selection of plants/trees from the external sources before shipping to site.
Thorough knowledge of the specious of plant used in the region and their requirements
Thorough knowledge of the irrigation standards, requirements and type used for different type of plantation.

PROJECT SUPPORT

- Implementation of a safe working culture and practice.
- Ensure to hold pre-job (Toolbox Talk) meetings before starting all types of risk-involved activities.
- Investigate all incidents and near-miss cases with the help of HSE Engineer.
- Give strict instructions to supervisors and team leaders in implementing HSE policy.
- Report to operations manager and HSE Engineer regarding all incidents and unsafe conditions.
- Ensure the maintenance of all vehicles/plants/equipment.
- Initiate the necessary disciplinary measures for violation of safety procedures on the site.
- Initiate the change of existing safety/operation procedures, if required.
- Attend the audits and OSH meeting and OSH committee with OM and HSE engineer.
REQUIRED COMPUTER & COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS
- Must be computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc.
- Experience with AutoCAD software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of any landscape management software/CAFM/Asset Management will be an added advantage.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Arabic speaking candidates preferred.
- Minimum 6-8 years of landscape maintenance experience (Soft & Hard landscaping and Irrigation & Water feature systems) is a must.

Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in scope.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Lanscape Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in scope.
Determines the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for technical aspects of the contract and monitors progress. Interfaces with Procurement and Subcontracts to facilitate procurement coordination with vendors/subcontractors.
Participates in bid analysis to help determine supplier availability and capability.
Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and that quality is acceptable.
Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of assigned technical personnel, and makes reassignments as project needs arise.
Conducts performance evaluations, takes corrective action as necessary, and recommends salary actions. Also provides training and development opportunities for assigned personnel.
Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project, as well as the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.
Assists the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study. Participates in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project.
Ensures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines.
Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager.
Prepares technical reports, project manuals, and documentation of activity for the client and project management.
Acts as Project Manager's deputy for certain activities, such as attending meetings in his/her absence, etc.
Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.
Reviews and approves change orders. Notifies project management and other affected personnel of all changes.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)
12+ years of related field engineering experience
Broad general engineering background, with specific experience in Hard/Soft Landscaping , Irrigation works, Public Realm, Paving etc
Professional registration may also be required

Excellent written and oral communications skills
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required

We are looking for a skilled Landscape Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have expertise in landscape management, irrigation systems, and environmental sustainability, ensuring that all landscapes are healthy, beautiful, and sustainable.
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and oversee landscape maintenance programs for various properties, including parks, commercial areas, and residential communities.
- Manage and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal water usage and plant health.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to identify issues such as pest infestations, plant diseases, and soil problems.
- Coordinate with landscape architects and designers to ensure alignment with design plans and specifications.
- Supervise and train maintenance staff on best practices in landscaping, safety, and equipment use.
- Develop and manage budgets for landscape maintenance projects.
- Monitor the health and growth of plants and make recommendations for improvements or replacements.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, including scheduling, labor, and materials used.
- Stay current with landscape maintenance technologies, trends, and best practices.
Maintenance Planning And Execution
- Ability to prepare and execute maintenance schedules and plans for softscape.
- Capable of preparing weekly, monthly, incident, and condition survey reports on softscape.
Required Managerial & Leadership Skills
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Meet with Clients on a regular basis to ensure work is carried out.
- Proven ability to perform in a site supervision role.
- Must be knowledgeable of current landscape practices and how to best implement it on the project.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and team members.
- Monitor routine maintenance and progress on reported deficiencies and ensure that maintenance is of good standard that ensures the viability and continued success of the installation and that issues are reported and addressed.
- Resource management (manpower and materials).
- Management of suppliers of materials for timely delivery.
- Treat client’s environment as if it were our own.
- Exceeds client expectations to earn loyalty, trust, and referrals.
- Control and manage manpower, machinery and material to achieve optimum efficiency.
- Check and measure the performed work in his line of work.
OHS Responsibilities
- Ensure that all landscape maintenance activities comply with the company’s HSE policies and guidelines as set by the HSE Officer.
- Collaborate with the HSE Officer to address any safety concerns on-site and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Monitor and enforce safety practices among maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols during operations.
- Participate in safety meetings and audits in coordination with the HSE Officer to ensure continuous improvement in safety performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, BSc Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, management, or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, pest management, soil health, and irrigation systems.
- Experience with landscape design and project management.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Arabic speaking candidates preferred.
- Minimum 4-6 Years Landscape Maintenance experience (Soft & Hard landscaping and Irrigation & Water feature systems) is a must.
- Only People with Middle East / UAE experience apply for the job.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with sustainable landscaping practices and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in using landscape management software and tools.
- Certification in landscape maintenance or related fields is a plus.
Required Computer & Communications Skills
- Must be computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc.
- Worked in Auto CAD software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be fluent in English both written and spoken.
- Knowledge about any landscape management software’s/CAFM/Asset Management will be added advantage.
