We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedMedical Records Scanning & Indexing Specialistto join our healthcare support operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for scanning, digitizing, indexing, and organizing sensitive patient records with the utmost accuracy and confidentiality. Your work will directly support the efficiency and compliance of healthcare data systems and patient care processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Scan and digitize physical medical records using high-resolution scanners.
- Accurately index scanned documents into Electronic Medical Record (EMR)/Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems based on predefined categories and protocols.
- Ensure proper naming conventions, date stamping, and metadata tagging for efficient retrieval.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of scanned documents against physical records.
- Handle confidential patient information in compliance with data protection and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, local laws).
- Maintain detailed logs of scanned batches and indexing progress.
- Coordinate with on-site teams for record availability, issue resolution, and task updates.
- Perform quality assurance checks and resolve discrepancies in scanned files.
- Ensure timely delivery of scanned data as per the project schedule.
- Minimum1 year of experiencein medical records scanning and indexing.
- Working knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and document management software (preferred).
