As Lead’s PR Manager, you will drive strategic communications to enhance the company’s reputation (and projects) across key stakeholders including media, government, partners, clients, and the public—through innovative campaigns. You will own the full PR lifecycle: developing strategies, executing media relations initiatives, and measuring impact to build a favorable brand image. Your work will directly influence perceptions among employees, candidates, influencers, and target audiences, ensuring alignment with our corporate vision.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Manage the relationship with the PR Agency, and liaise on all required support.
- Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies and plans.
- Plan, budget, and execute high-profile media events (Press conferences, launches, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, HR, etc.) to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
- Lead creation of all PR content including press releases, feature, Q&As, factsheets, talking points, speeches, leadership biographies, boilerplates, and briefing notes.
- Oversee development of marketing materials including newsletters, emailers, website content, and social media posts.
- Monitor and protect corporate reputation of LEAD and its affiliated projects, through proactive media management.
- Handle media inquiries and coordinate executive interview.
- Track media for coverage and prepare performance analytics.
- Cultivate relationships with stakeholders including government, partners, media, and influencers.
- Identify and evaluate partnerships/sponsorship opportunities.
- Maintain expert knowledge of industry trends to inform strategy.
- Develop Crisis Communication protocols and holding statements (as needed).
- Establish and monitor PR Department KPIs.
- 7+ years of PR experience in real estate/luxury sectors.
- Proven success in integrated (traditional + digital) campaigns.
- BSc/BA in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
- Native-level Arabic/English copywriting and editing skills.
- Experience with AI tools for content generation and PR analytics.
- Portfolio of successful PR campaigns with measurable results.

Amazon is looking for a talented, strategic and creative individual to manage reputational issues and media relations in the Middle East and Africa, and proactively communicate our positions on policy topics. This role will suit an exceptional communicator with experience in managing fast-moving and high-profile issues, building relationships with journalists and other opinion leaders, and an understanding of how communications shape the policy environment.

Working as part of our APAC/MEA Policy Communications and Issues Management team, you will be responsible for managing reputational issues and inbound media inquiries, with a primary focus on Middle East and Africa. You will also support in the development and execution of public campaigns that bring to life Amazon’s policy positions, with a focus on positive impacts of Amazon’s businesses for customers and sellers in the highly competitive retail sector. This includes:
- Leading the communications strategy relating to reputational issues both reactively and proactively in close collaboration with stakeholders across the business.
- Managing communications strategies on priority policy issues. Translating complex policy topics into compelling speaking points, blog posts, opinion pieces, video scripts, research proposals and other communications assets.
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with key media outlets, trade associations, academia and civil society groups. This requires proactive outreach to develop these relationships and the use of multiple channels to ensure our voice is heard.
- Effectively representing Amazon as a spokesperson, providing a trusted source for media stakeholders, and providing media training and communications counsel to Amazon leaders.
- Managing PR agency and consultancy resources.
- It may also involve some regional work outside of India on a case by case basis in collaboration across the wider Policy and Issues Management team.
On a day-to-day basis, you will have the opportunity to innovate, developing creative communications resources - ranging from reactive statements to research reports and high-impact digital assets – to deliver messages that resonate with key audiences. You will also craft thoughtful strategies and impactful content to address evolving issues and incoming media inquiries. This will cut across both Policy Communications and Issues Management.

This role will report directly to the Head of APAC Policy Communications & Issues Management.
Basic Qualifications
- Professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Exemplary written and oral communications skills
- Experience in reputational issues management in complex, high-profile organisations
- Experience executing highly successful media relations and owned channel campaigns
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and organisational skills
- Excellent business knowledge and judgment
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders
- Background in navigating complex and matrixed business structures
