Job Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering services including complete design assistance, inspections, determination of HVAC loads, pump sizing/selection, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design, and fire protection systems. You will collaborate with a team of technicians, engineers, drafters, and surveyors to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Provide mechanical design services, including HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, duct and plumbing design.
- Conduct engineering analysis and design for projects from concept through final design and construction management, adhering to applicable codes and standards.
- Review project plans and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy.
- Monitor project development, including new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for real property facilities.
- Develop project calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications supporting project objectives and standards.
- Review conceptual studies and sketches for project features, materials, equipment, and specifications.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and U.S. Government entities to address safety, constructability, operability, and maintainability considerations.
- Monitor project progress, review specifications and schedules, and verify construction compliance.
- Use computer software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, GIS, and engineering calculation tools to facilitate engineering work.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2012 or later.
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred.
- Willingness to travel between ADAB TSG and AUAB TSG sites up to 4 times per year.
