  Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for performing quality assurance and control activities at various stages of manufacturing as per international standards, legal and customer requirements. You will monitor all domestically manufactured and repair products to ensure the best quality to the end user.

Essential Functions:
• Perform in-process and final inspection as per the drawing, route card, and necessary specification/OMS requirements.
• Maintain records of calibration/verification activity of gauges, measuring, and test equipment with established control features.
• Ensure product license applications and procedures are in compliance as per licensor's requirements.
• Perform quality assurance check on tools and equipment before dispatching to customer location.
• Any other delegated tasks or responsibilities as required, provided requests are reasonable and employee is capable and competent to fulfill them.
• Authorized to stop any unsafe operation or acts within workshop and site activities.
• Verify work orders and inspection reports and COC to release the product.
• All process documents shall be inspected before material is finally released and delivered.
• Receive inspection of raw materials, repair goods, outside processed material & bought out material.
• Report nonconformities to QA/QC Supervisor/ Manager.

  Necessary Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have education to higher secondary level or equivalent in Mechanical or similar Engineering preferably.

  Experience:

• Minimum of 7+ years' experience in QA/QC field.

  Technical Skills:

• Understanding and knowledge on product and engineering drawings.

Job Purpose:

To ensure optimal quality repair service of vehicles in accordance with the GEELY standard and successfully contribute to achieving the Service Department's target and the organisation's vision and mission.

  • Ensuring that all required vehicles are checked for quality of the work carried out, roadworthiness, safety-related and general impression.
  • Reporting all points not matching with check list and return vehicle to workshop if required.
  • Assisting Dept. in pre-diagnosis.
  • Maintaining Quality Standards.
  • Abiding by traffic laws when testing a car & treating customer property with respect.
  • Analyzing trends of quality and advising the Bodyshop Manager.
  • Maintaining customer care values when interacting with customers.
  • Not departing from duty when there are still vehicles which require testing.
  • Arranging sufficient fuel (minimum range of 50 km) in all vehicles, prior to customer collection.
  • Maintaining safety regulations.
  • Informing Team Leader or Service Advisor of any additional faults found including those outside the scope of the specific customer requests and documenting it on the job card.
  • Ensuring that all work is correctly completed and that all items listed are covered.
  • Focus on quality of customer service & work carried out on the vehicle.
  • Drive the department's business through superior customer service and providing updated product information.
  • Support overall objectives of the department.

Role Description: Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer (QA/QC Engineer)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Type: Full-time | On-site

We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer with a minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in the UAE construction industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all project deliverables meet established quality standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to establish quality plans and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct site inspections, internal audits, and surveillance activities to ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements.
  • Monitor construction processes to ensure that work is carried out as per approved method statements and quality documentation.
  • Liaise with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues and non-conformities.
  • Prepare and maintain all relevant QA/QC reports, records, checklists, and certificates.
  • Coordinate third-party testing and ensure timely submission of test results.
  • Participate in project review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of QA/QC experience within the UAE construction or infrastructure industry is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of QA/QC principles, standards, and inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as ISO 9001 and local UAE regulatory requirements.

Provide training sessions for staff and contractors on quality control processes and best practices.

Problem-Solving & Corrective Actions

Investigate quality defects, material failures, or installation issues and implement corrective actions.

Work with the project team to prevent recurring quality issues by refining procedures and standards.

Ensure that client feedback and project requirements are incorporated into continuous quality improvements.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to address quality concerns and ensure expectations are met.

Conduct site visits and joint inspections with clients to verify project quality before handover.

Assist in resolving any quality-related disputes or concerns between stakeholders.

Support in Project Handover & Final Inspection

Conduct final inspections and snag list preparation before project handover.

Ensure all QA/QC documentation, compliance certificates, and test results are submitted for project closeout.

Verify that maintenance guidelines and warranties for landscaping elements are properly documented.

Occupational and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities:

In addition to all job-specific responsibilities, all employees are required to adhere to all Basatin health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements and obligations. About the Position

This position reports to the Director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE). The objective of the Academic Quality Assurance Officer is to support OIE’s efforts in all related business and operational functions to ensure quality assurance and monitor performance at GSU. The Quality Assurance Officer will assist in monitoring progress in matters related to quality assurance and enhancement of GSU’s progress in areas of teaching, research, and knowledge production, with the objective to facilitate the best learning environment for faculty and graduate students, and most importantly to ensure that the institute achieves the highest ranking possible within the global educational ranking systems. The overall charge is to provide support through the development of a mechanism for collecting data on the institute’s progress. One of the main objectives of the office is to enhance the institute’s ranking according to the international standards of research and teaching institutions. Through OIE and GSU processes, the QA and enhancement officer works to establish and conduct ongoing evaluations through feedback from faculty, students, and staff, leading to constant improvement and maintenance of academic standards. The goal is to demonstrate to all stakeholders the high quality of teaching, learning, research, and publishing output of its faculty and graduate students, and to make sure they meet the standards and expectations according to the best practices in global peer institutions. This will be achieved by developing risk-based institutional and subject-for-review processes.

The prospective candidate for the position should have background and long-term experience and understanding of the Academic Quality framework, including enhancement and assurance (QE&A) mechanisms; and a commitment to promoting and developing the consistency of the institute’s engagement with quality processes to enhance the student learning experience and faculty research output.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work on issues related to national regulation and assessment of teaching quality, student progress, and graduates’ future employment
  • To coordinate external reviews of academic quality and standards as assigned
  • To assist in the design and implementation of a model of continuous academic review to promptly identify and address challenges to the student experience, student progress, and graduate outcomes
  • To ensure that the institute meets the expectations for the UAE-CAA Higher Education
  • To manage the periodic review of the academic quality and standards
  • To manage the approval processes for new academic developments as assigned
  • Provide academic data analysis: report grades, exam results, and attendance
  • Develops accurate information and reports for OIE to provide the Office of the Chancellor and assist in maintaining standards of performance of the institute including underachieving students
  • Assist with strategic planning and monitoring of performance management in sync with CAA requirements as assigned
  • To work on accreditation compliance reporting and timelines
  • To work on a periodical benchmarking exercise to compare GSU to similar local, regional and international peer institutions by collecting relevant external data for purposes of benchmarking different academic and administrative functions and processes
  • To prepare, review and work on submission of accreditation reports and requirements to the CAA and other accreditation bodies.
  • To collaborate effectively with the Student Administration team, Academic Registration Office, and with Departments and their administrators
  • Perform all other functions as assigned by the Director of OIE
Required Education
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
Required Work Experience
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in academic affairs, preferably, within a higher education institution
  • Previous experience in data management capacity within higher education
  • Experience in managing and developing data systems
  • Experience in producing accurate data for reporting and assessment
  • Experience in university ranking systems
  • Creating and maintaining data capture and data entry templates
  • Strong organizational skills, coupled with the ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, and demonstrated competency in interacting with people at all levels of the organization
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a multicultural environment, to handle pressure with a positive attitude, and to meet deadlines in a demanding work environment
  • Ability to keep up to date on relevant policies and procedures in line with the duties identified in the job description
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with a preference for proficiency in Arabic
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
