Leisure Concierge

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Leisure Concierge to join our team at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi. As a key member of our leisure department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is nothing short of unforgettable.

Job Description

The Leisure Concierge will be responsible for executing all administrative tasks in the recreation department, including manning the reception desk on a shift basis during opening hours. You will provide information to clients regarding activities, facilities, and booking options when requested. Additionally, you will take responsibility for collecting and accurately reconciling cash or monetary transactions handled while manning the reception desk.

You will report to the Assistant Operations Manager and work closely with other colleagues in the recreation team to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Responsibilities
  1. Communicate with supervisor on all pertinent matters affecting the recreation reception administration and operation;
  2. Ensure the reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times and bring poor conditions or breakages to the attention of the supervisor;
  3. Attend daily briefings with Spa & Leisure Manager, Spa & Leisure Operations Manager, and other recreation colleagues;
  4. Interact with guests, members, and colleagues to promote and administer the appropriate use of the recreation area;
  5. Oversee all reservations, payment, and tracking procedures established for the pool, beach, and other recreation facilities as required;
  6. Assist in ordering items through SCM purchasing system;
  7. Promote rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members;
  8. Create a warm welcome and promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for all guests using the facilities;
  9. Attend weekly/monthly department communication meetings;
  10. Assist in kids club or kids camp operation as requested by duty supervisor;
  11. Adhere to cash handling procedures & reconcile and balance the cash report and remittance envelop at the end of the shift;
  12. Report accidents, maintenance issues (HOTSOS), or other incidents;
  13. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations;
  14. Interact and communicate effectively with clients, members, team members, guests, and management team;
Requirements
  • Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management will be a plus;
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel group, resort experience will be a plus;
  • Previous experience of working in a similar guest-focused role, especially in a recreation environment;
