Job Title: Senior Information Security Consultant

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring various IT & Information security tools such as SIEM, Cyber defence system, DLP, Proxy, Email Gateway, Application Control, Advanced threat protection tools, Antivirus systems, etc to ensure that Information security is not compromised.

  • Project management and implementation/rollout of new IT security/IS solutions. Management and maintenance of IS/IT Security tools and solutions.

Purpose and Objectives for the Role
This role combines frontline IT support responsibilities with end-user cybersecurity and security operations duties.   • Track, analyse, and report remediation progress on identified vulnerabilities.
  • Provide visibility into risk exposure through structured reporting.
Security Operations & SOC Integration
  • Act as liaison with outsourced SOC provider to align on alerts, investigations, and incident response.
  • Triage and escalate incidents; support use case development (MITRE ATT&CK framework).
  • Contribute to creation and refinement of monitoring playbooks and operational workflows.
Incident Response Coordination
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents in coordination with SOC and internal teams.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Preferred certifications:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Microsoft SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Familiarity with standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, UAE PDPL).
  • Experience in Information Security, Security Operations, or Cloud Security within regulated environments.

Cyber Security Consultant at T2S: As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will be responsible for protecting our customers' digital assets from cyber threats. You will play a key role in shaping and implementing our cyber security strategy to keep systems and data secure. Work on various challenging projects using the latest technologies in cyber security, including monitoring for vulnerabilities, building firewalls, and responding to security incidents. Develop and test new security measures , investigate IT security incidents, and enhance our security infrastructure. Train and advise colleagues on best practices , promoting a culture of security awareness. Your decisions and strategies will protect our customers' products and services, contributing to our business's overall success. This role is both challenging and rewarding , offering a chance to make a significant impact on our cyber security posture.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure digital infrastructure resilience: Help make our systems secure and adaptable to emerging cyber threats.
  • Design innovative security solutions: Develop secure-by-design strategies that balance technical excellence with academic freedom and bold decision-making.
  • Collaborate across the institution: Work with researchers, educators, and administrators to align security strategies with The2Sellers' mission.
  • Shape security policies and initiatives: Advise technical teams and lead critical security initiatives to drive a secure digital environment.
  • Enable progress through cyber security: Mitigate risks, anticipate challenges, and foster an environment where creativity and discovery thrive.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of syslog and event viewer
  • Incident Response, Network Defence
  • NIST CVSS Vulnerabilities and scoring system
  • XML, OS Specific log data
  • Nginx, Apache, IPTables
  • Knowledge of secure development principles and OWASP Top 10
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Willingness to develop with continual learning
  • Logical problem-solving abilities
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
