Lead Negotiator and Legal Expert

This role is a key position in our dynamic legal team. As Lead Negotiator and Legal Expert, you will be responsible for leading negotiations for transactions, excluding complex ones.

• Lead negotiator for transactions, excluding complex transactions.
• Oversee quality of output.
• Provide direction on tactics, research and contextual awareness.
• Liaison point with business on the above.

• Investigate legal claims and complaints by or against the Group, prepare analysis to ensure management is aware of all aspects of the claim/allegations.
• Assist in forming new businesses under the Group and ensure these are in line with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee final terms and conditions for key contracts between the Group and other parties and provide to Chief Legal Officer or relevant SLCs for approval.
• Participate in management meetings as required and offer legal opinion on discussed issues.
• Advise management on legal matters pertaining to their responsibilities, potential liabilities, exposures and necessary decisions within their capacities in line with relevant SOAs.
• Comprehensively synthesise large volumes of information with meticulous attention to detail.
• Aware of company governance principles and able to draft company governance documentation.
• Solution-oriented in a practical and compliant manner in line with corporate governance and principles.
• Able to understand basic financial documentation for businesses such as balance sheets, profit and loss accounts and drivers of costs/profits.
