Role Summary

As a Strategy Manager you will Works closely with the VP SPM EH SPM EH leadership team divisional Caterpillar Oil Gas and Marine Division (COGMD) Strategy Manager COGMD communications team on strategy development management and other critical initiatives. Ensures the effectiveness of strategy implementation communication and project management.

What You Will Do

  • Plan coordinate and assist with the management of all projects identified as critical to SPM EH.
  • Network within the Caterpillar Enterprise to understand and identify initiatives that will require SPM EH action and focus.
  • Work with the COGMD communications team and leverage external resources to develop strategic communications for key events and meetings.
  • Work closely with the COGMD divisional strategy manager to ensure the needs of the COGMD administrative team are met to maximize the effectiveness of the SPM EH leadership team.
  • Act as the champion for SPM EH and the Oil and Gas industry within the Cat Enterprise.

Management of the SPM EH leadership accountability structure:

  • Develop the structure and calendar for leadership accountability and implement e.g. monthly leadership meetings quarterly all staffs leadership visits etc.
  • Manage agendas for leadership meetings including regular leadership meetings quarterly All Employee Meetings and Production / Service Center Town Hall Meetings (as needed).
  • Ensure action items are recorded with follow up to ensure items are completed and communicated.

Management of the SPM EH Strategy / Industry Trends:

  • Document the overall strategy for SPM EH in a format suitable for external communication.
  • Ensure strategy documentation is kept up to date by working with SPM EH and COGMD Leaders.
  • Work with the leadership team to document key wins in strategy execution and provide updates to SPM EH COGMD Energy & Transport (E&T) Division and Cat Inc.
  • Manage the flow of information on SPM EH business and industry trends to E&T and Cat Inc Leadership.
  • Develop annual business planning documentation.

Occupational and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities :

Education & Qualification :

A bachelor's degree in business, finance, strategy, or a related field is typically required.

Job Description

Role Highlights include

  • Assist in identifying high-potential opportunities in high-impact and future-proofed sectors of the global economy, such as the Healthcare Ecosystem e.g., Longevity, Wellness, Well-being, Life Sciences and other innovative industries, contributing to Dubai’s status as a global hub for cutting-edge solutions

Managerial Competencies

  • Ability to translate high-level strategies into actionable business ventures with an entrepreneurial approach

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in management consulting or strategic roles, with demonstrated experience in managing projects

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including R&D, product development, legal, marketing, and finance, in a corporate setting
  • Experience supporting venture building, corporate innovation, or venture capital, preferably focused on Healthcare, Life Sciences, and/or Well-being sectors is an advantage

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Risk Strategy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and risk strategy development, with expertise in consumer finance . Candidates with experience in leading fintech or data science firms and those with international education or work experience will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive risk strategies for consumer finance lending products.
  • Develop credit, fraud detection, and portfolio risk control models based on data-driven insights.

Data Analysis :

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, predict risks, and optimize strategy performance.
  • Develop actionable insights to improve risk management policies and drive business growth.

Policy Implementation :

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk policies and adjust strategies to align with market changes.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and tech teams to ensure smooth implementation of risk policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Work closely with data science and business teams to align risk strategies with overall business goals.
  • Communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.

Compliance and Reporting :

  • Ensure risk strategies comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on risk strategy performance and propose improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field (e.g., Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and risk strategy formulation, preferably in consumer finance.
  • Experience in leading fintech or data science companies is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and risk modeling techniques.
  • Strong understanding of credit scoring models, fraud detection, and portfolio risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Overseas education or work experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
