Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant with proven experience in UAE VAT compliance and corporate tax regulations as per the Federal Tax Authority (FTA). The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in EmaraTax portal operations, timely filing of tax returns, and managing the end-to-end tax processes in accordance with UAE tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:1. VAT Compliance (As per FTA Guidelines):
- Prepare, review, and file monthly/quarterly VAT returns in compliance with FTA requirements.
- Ensure accurate VAT input and output reconciliation.
- Maintain up-to-date VAT records and documentation for FTA audits.
- Handle VAT voluntary disclosures, VAT refund claims, and VAT audits.
Monitor changes in VAT laws and implement necessary internal process updates.
Corporate Tax Compliance (CT):
Assist in preparing and filing Corporate Tax Returns as per UAE Corporate Tax law.
- Ensure proper tax adjustments, deferred tax calculations, and compliance with tax reporting.
- Maintain transfer pricing documentation and assess permanent establishment (PE) status if required.
Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants as necessary.
EmaraTax Portal Operations:
Expert-level use of EmaraTax portal for registration, return filing, payment processing, and data extraction.
- Manage company tax accounts within the EmaraTax portal, including updating TRN details, user access, and correspondence with FTA through the portal.
Ensure timely submission of returns, payment of dues, and responding to FTA queries through the portal.
Tax Advisory and Internal Support:
Provide tax planning and advisory support to management and other departments.
- Support internal audits and ensure tax-related compliance in all financial transactions.
- Assist with the implementation of internal controls and tax risk management strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CTA/CPA is a plus).
- Minimum 3-5 years of UAE tax experience with a strong focus on VAT and Corporate Tax.
- Proven expertise in using EmaraTax portal for all tax-related activities.
- Solid understanding of UAE Tax Laws, FTA regulations, and OECD BEPS guidelines.
