Job Summary:

The Mechanic performs mechanical inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. The role ensures vehicle reliability, safety, and optimal performance within the workshop.

Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Maintenance & Repair: Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and brake systems; perform routine services like oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups.
2. Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical faults; assess issues accurately and recommend solutions or part replacements.
3. Job Execution: Follow job card instructions, complete work within specified timeframes, conduct test drives, and perform final checks before vehicle handover.
4. Tools & Equipment Handling: Use workshop tools, diagnostic scanners, and lifting equipment safely; maintain tools in good condition.
5. Quality & Safety Compliance: Follow quality control standards and manufacturer guidelines; adhere to health and safety protocols and wear PPE.
6. Documentation & Reporting: Record repairs, parts used, and services performed; report additional issues to supervisors.
7. Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, and parts personnel; provide technical feedback as needed.

To excel as an Auto Mechanic, candidates should possess in-depth mechanical knowledge, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to quality. A proactive attitude, technical precision, and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications and skills include:

• 4–6 years of automotive mechanic experience (dealership experience preferred)
