We are currently seeking Talent & Engagement Specialist for our Groups HR department in Dubai.
Job Purpose
The Talent & Engagement Specialist is responsible for internationalising key people initiatives across the organisation. Sitting between strategic leadership and administrative support, this role is execution-focused but requires depth of knowledge and the ability to lead complex rollouts across four focus areas:
- Learning and Development (30%)
- Employee Experience and Engagement (40%)
- Talent Management and Career Development (20%)
- Performance Management (10%)
The Specialist ensures alignment with the broader people strategy and is accountable for translating it into high-impact, consistent, and well-managed experiences for employees and leaders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning and Development (30%)
Implement enterprise-wide learning programs, working with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure delivery meets design intent.
Manage the learning management system (LMS), including uploading content, tracking usage, and resolving escalations from users or administrators.
Coordinate learning needs assessments with departments to identify gaps and recommend training solutions aligned to strategic direction.
Track learning engagement, analyse training effectiveness, and present monthly reports to the Group Head of Talent.
Support compliance learning audits and ensure mandatory training records are accurately maintained.
Liaise with facilitators, prepare materials, and oversee smooth delivery of both virtual and in-person learning events.
Employee Experience and Engagement (40%)
Lead the implementation of engagement initiatives including campaigns, culture activation programs, recognition schemes, wellness initiatives, and internal events.
Manage the employee lifecycle experience touch-points, ensuring onboarding, offboarding, and transition experiences are consistent and impactful.
Act as project lead for employee surveys - coordinating survey administration, analysing results, preparing reports, and tracking action plans.
Support internal communications related to engagement and culture, including newsletters, intranet updates, and digital storytelling.
Monitor employer brand platforms (Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.) and manage response protocols in line with brand tone and employee experience strategy.
Talent Management and Career Planning (20%)
Coordinate talent review cycles by preparing materials, tracking development plans, and following up on talent actions.
Maintain succession planning and internal mobility records, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
Partner with line managers and HRBPs to guide implementation of career pathways, development plans, and progression initiatives.
Support the delivery of targeted development programs (e.g., leadership, graduate, high-potential talent).
Performance Management (10%)
Execute and monitor the annual performance management cycle, ensuring timely rollout of goal setting, reviews, and calibration support.
Train and support managers and employees on performance tools, documentation, and feedback practices.
Track completion rates and generate reports on performance ratings, goal alignment, and process compliance.
Required Qualification, Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Bachelor s degree in human resources, Learning and Development, Psychology, or a related field.
5+ years experience in a mid-level HR, Learning & Development, or Talent Management role in large corporate.
Demonstrated experience executing cross-functional engagement or development programs across large/diverse workforces.
Familiarity with learning management systems, performance platforms, and HRIS tools.
Skills and Competencies
Strong project coordination and implementation skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and facilitate sessions or briefings.
Analytical and data-literate - able to interpret trends and translate into improvement actions.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational discipline.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without authority.
High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive information.
