ResponsibilitiesPerforms a variety of electronic and technical assignments on data communications equipment and systems. Completes terminal troubleshooting using appropriate diagnostic equipment. Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
+ Provide Inside / Outside (I/O) cable plant engineering support, which includes complete technical solutions for telecommunications and IT upgrades and installations. All products produced by the contractor shall be in accordance with Telecommunication Industry Association (TIA) 758 standards.
+ Analyze technical requirements for telecommunications and IT services to and within facilities. The technical requirements analysis will assess projected mission, technology, infrastructure changes, and recommend capabilities for the new facilities.
+ Engineer the technical solution to meet USAFCENT-approved requirements.
+ Develop and execute cutover plans to integrate newly installed telecommunications and IT infrastructure. The cutover plans shall provide, as nearly as possible and practical, a seamless cutover of services from the old to the new infrastructure and systems.
+ Support the coordination of the cutover plan with the appropriate customers on and off post and with service and theater communications and IT agencies.
+ Tasks include:
+ Perform and document site surveys to support fiber optic, copper, and coaxial infrastructure requirements;
+ Prepare PSAs, to include specifications for allied support, minor construction, facility upgrades, equipment and materials, tools and test equipment, etc.;
+ Prepare working engineering project packages for installation teams with installation instructions, sketches, and list of materials;
+ Manage engineering installation and teams on engineering projects;
+ Brief key stakeholders (including commanders) on plans and/or status of projects.

Authorizing the sourcing of commissioning and start-up spares from the inventory by the discipline groups
The Commissioning and SU Coordinators are also tasked with preparing, under the guidance of the HUC and Lead Commissioning Coordinators, the Functional Test Procedures needed during the commissioning phase.
Coordinate activities with other departments and staff.
Establish positive working relationships with immediate supervision and personnel from other departments.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written. Be able to follow oral and written instructions.

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Maintenance Specialist to join our organization. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and repair of telecom hardware and network infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair telecom hardware and network infrastructure, including routers, switches, antennas, and other telecommunications equipment.
- Equipment Calibration: Calibrate and validate Test and Measurement equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot telecom systems, identifying faults and resolving issues for both in-country and out-of-country hardware.
- Technical Support: Provide hands-on support and guidance to on-site technicians and outsourced personnel.
- Assist in resolving complex technical issues and provide troubleshooting expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Network Testing: Conduct network testing, signal quality analysis, and data integrity checks to ensure optimal performance of telecom equipment and systems.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports on repair activities, calibration processes, and troubleshooting results.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and manage the technical library of telecom equipment manuals, service reports, and calibration logs.
- System Upgrades and Optimization: Perform system upgrades and optimization tasks to enhance the efficiency and functionality of telecom systems.
- Equipment Inventory and Procurement: Monitor and manage the stock of telecom equipment, spare parts, and tools.

- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations in all activities.
- Training: Assist in delivering technical training sessions to new technicians and outsourced staff, ensuring proficiency in telecom equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Educational Background: A diploma, degree, or equivalent certification in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- Technical Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in telecom maintenance, repair, and equipment calibration, with expertise in network systems, RF equipment, and telecom hardware.
- Telecom Systems Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of telecom infrastructure, including wireless networks, data transmission systems, and telecom hardware (e.g., routers, antennas, switches, fiber optics).
- Calibration Skills: Experience with Test and Measurement equipment and understanding of calibration standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Strong problem-solving skills, able to diagnose and resolve technical issues across a wide range of telecom equipment and network systems.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with network management software, diagnostic tools, and industry-specific telecom systems.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams, external vendors, and customers.
- Knowledge of 5G, LTE, and IP-based telecom technologies.
- Experience with telecom network planning, implementation, and optimization.
