We re looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Sri Lanka. The ideal candidate is someone great at numbers, who can think on their feet, has great communication skills and is a great team player.
As an Accounting Specialist you will:
Put together, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and our process standards
Post transactions to our incredible accounting system backed with supporting documentation and approvals
Put together beautiful financial reports and presentations
Prepare and post periodic bank, stock and supplier reconciliations
Analyse operational trends, costs, revenues, cash flows and profitability to project business performance and provide recommendations on improvements
Develop, maintain and analyse budgets. Create variance reports to compare against actual performance and arrive at reasons for variances
Develop, implement, modify and document accounting systems, procedures and internal practices
Assist in the preparation of year-end accounting statements and external audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation and other information requirements

What You Will Do:
- Preparation of monthly recurring journal entries.
- Preparation of overhead allocations.
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Education and Experience

- Good communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with others, and the ability to communicate directly with upper management.

- Ability to obtain familiarity with the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
Reporting Relationships:
