The Agreements Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the full contract lifecycle within our organization. This involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing agreements in accordance with legal standards and business policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Draft and negotiate contracts to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and risk management policies.
- Maintain an organized system for tracking and managing contracts to guarantee timely renewals and compliance with deadlines.
- Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize legal implications.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms align with objectives and risk management policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and concerns.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- 5 years of similar experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication in English; Arabic is an added advantage.
To excel in this position, you should possess strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, you should have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

The decarbonization leads to a fast changing world and requires Wärtsilä’ to adapt and expand the agreement sales team to cope with these requirements. We seek the marine commercial professional to jump onboard and utilize its network to ensure that Wartsila is capturing the customers and support their needs.
The Agreement Sales Manager will be based out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, you will be leading a team of professionals and are accountable for delivering results in terms of won deals and renewal of agreements within the UAE and the surrounding area. Location - Dubai/ Hongkong/Singapore What will you be doing :
· Engage with senior customer representatives to present the values we can provide within long term service agreements
· Lead and develop Capture Teams for assigned opportunities
· Develop the assigned opportunities and deliver won deals as key negotiator and deal closer in Marine Agreement opportunities
· Manage customer relationships throughout the process of closing the opportunities
· Manage, monitor and develop the sales opportunities in own responsibility and report the progress in CRM and to relevant stakeholders
· Define a strategy and action plan for the assigned area together with the sales
· Identify and develop relationships with potential agreement customers and grow the sales funnel Organize, lead and participate in relevant sales meetings with customers.
· Identify, report and manage potential risks detected in assigned opportunities.
· Ensure Agreements sales profitability as per the Agreement Sales procedures.
· Inform the Development Team in Performance Services of new development needs for customers
You will shine in this role, when you have?
· MSc / BSc in Engineering, Marine or equivalent technical domain.
· Knowledge, direct experience, and subject matter expertise in marine commercial agreements.
· Over 5 years of commercial in the maritime sector or B2B sales preferred.
· Proficient level of English language, verbal and written, Arabic language is highly preferred but not an essential.
· Solution based strategic selling methodology.
· Public speaking presentation skills
· Working knowledge of MS Office is essential, ERP and CRM applications.
· Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally
· Excellent analytical skill.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading our research contracts function, ensuring seamless alignment with our university's objectives and policies. This involves providing faculty and leadership with specialized legal and business advisory services tailored to research agreements.
This position requires extensive experience in negotiating diverse research-related agreements, encompassing grants, collaboration agreements, subawards, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), with a range of sponsors, including industry, foundations, and other research stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of research-related agreements on behalf of the University in collaboration with sponsors and collaborators.
- Conduct thorough analyses of research grants and agreements received for negotiation or execution, examining each agreement to identify and mitigate potential risks, liabilities, or discrepancies against University policies and standards.
- Collaborate and offer expert advisory and legal support to faculty and research staff, guiding them through complex contractual provisions and supporting research initiatives and sponsored activities.
We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in a research university environment, with expertise in contract management, drafting, and negotiations. A Law Degree is also preferred.
- Extensive experience in negotiating research-related agreements.
- Strong knowledge of university research management fundamentals, including US federal Uniform Guidance.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
