Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Controller to join our team. As a key member of the maintenance planning and records function, you will be responsible for monitoring, verifying and controlling the documentation of all heavy / base maintenance checks and work packages ensuring they are timely and adequately executed in line with agreed maintenance plans and in adherence to adopted procedures manual and CAMO requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Control and Verification: Carries out necessary document control and verification of all the heavy maintenance tasks and work packages documentation received from the Maintenance Planning ensuring they are prepared, distributed and displayed on the action board.
  • Awareness of Relevant TPM: Ensures proper awareness of relevant TPM MOE Manual procedures for Production Control in all checks executed, this includes A-checks, C-checks, Engine and APU change checks.
  • Maintenance Cards Distribution: Distributes the planned maintenance cards in the Control Docks maintaining proper sequence and order in the display.
  • Additional Maintenance Tasks: Processes, prioritizes, distributes and ensures the proper execution of any additional maintenance cards resulting from the inspection (Pre-docking, ship-shop-ship/ inspection/ routine/clean/lube/servicing/final inspection).
  • Maintenance Work Progress: Monitors the maintenance work progress continuously to ensure smooth workflow; reports to the Supervisor -Maintenance Planning & Records any delay or deviation from the planned flow chart and implements corrective measures accordingly.
  • Routine Maintenance Tasks: Raises non-routine maintenance cards for all defects incoming from the Crew and recorded in the Technical Log Book/Cabin Log; follows up on the proper action as per adopted procedures.
  • Deferred Defects Handling: Handles all entries related to the deferred defects in the RAL system; efficiently compiles and submits debrief report on aircraft departure.
  • Man-hours Booking and Roster: Monitors the man-hours booking and roster prepared and communicated by the Planning Engineer versus the actual man-hours logged for each aircraft to ensure compatibility and report any variations or changes accordingly.
  • Certification and Record Keeping: Reviews the documents of all completed tasks received from the Engineers against the original pre-documentation approved to identify any variations or discrepancies prior to issuing associated certification.
  • Materials and Tools Shortages: Prepares list of all the materials/tools shortages; communicates to Technical Procurement for proper action and follows up on status till necessary items are received and handed to concerned personnel.
  • Ad-hoc Requirements: Coordinates with the Technical Procurement regarding ad-hoc requirements in case of AOG.
  • Component Changes Documentation: Prepares updated records sheets to document all component changes for each hangar input; continuously updates and maintains the necessary records till the checks are successfully completed.
  • Next Planning Coordination: Coordinates with MCC and Line Maintenance on the next planning to allow the serviced aircraft proceed accordingly prior to confirming release.
  • Work Packages and Records Completion: Forwards the completed work packages to the Maintenance Planning team and the records to the Technical Records team upon the completion of maintenance tasks, and the departure of the aircraft, as per adopted procedures and in line with approved standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical/Electro-Mechanical or equivalent; alternately a higher diploma or certificate a relating from a recognized university or engineering college combined with needed experience and exposure.
  • Training Certificates: Training certificates or workshops on Human Factor are highly desirable.
  • Quality Assurance Authorization: Able to obtain necessary Quality Assurance Authorization for the related function.
  • Project Management Certificate: Project Management certificate or alternately the proven corresponding working experience.
  • Cost Control and Compliance: Cost Control, Compliance, Budgeting and Quality Assurance certificates and trainings are an added value and some may be treated as conditional for this role.
  • Technology Systems and Tools: Capable of using technology systems & tools; proficient in Microsoft suite.
  • Communication Skills: Very good written and verbal communication skills: reporting, presentations, etc.
  • Language Fluency: Fluent in English Language.

Overview

  • Fluent in English & Arabic; French is a plus.
Work Experience
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a similar marketing role in any service industry (client / agency); experience with low-cost airlines is a plus.

Purpose
The purpose of this role is to assist the Cabin Crew Manager in managing the Cabin Crew Members at all times and ensure that all crew are legal as per the GCAA requirements and their needs are met.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Ensure all flights departing Sharjah consist of the correct crew complement, and liaise with Crew rostering officer regarding crew shortfalls, if any.
  2. Supervise correct and fair allocation of crew positions by auditing and reviewing.
  3. Manage action, follow up and provide feedback to cabin crew on cabin flight report.
  4. Ensure all procedures, manuals and documentations in the Briefing Office are updated and maintained as per GCAA and company policy requirements.
  5. Coach operating crew by giving them constructive feedback, being prepared to answer any queries, clarify any operational issues and if needed direct the crew member to the right personnel or department as necessary.
  6. Conduct assessments on Briefing to monitor both SCCM and CCM performance and take corrective actions where necessary on performance, a minimum of 3 briefing assessments should be conducted in a shift.
  7. Manage grooming standards; monitored and rectified where needed.
  8. Manage senior or captains' de-briefing and handle any conflict until it is resolved; use them as case studies in liaison with Training Manager.
  9. Carry out flight observations and submit a full report to Cabin Crew Manager (2 flights a month).
  10. Manage daily both catering and duty free issues and ensures that the right product is selected for increasing the revenue using feedback of the crew.
  11. Carry out a random pre and post flight check to monitor the boarding process, ground handling, catering-duty fs of discipline.
  12. Assist Cabin Crew Manager in Cabin Crew Recruitment.
  13. Assist Cabin Crew Manager for SCCM upgrade.
  14. Assist the Cabin Crew Manager and carry out investigations on crew disciplinary/appreciations.
  15. Manage crew welfare by looking at their personal issues, follow up with company Medical Centre for crew well-being, meet and assist new joining crews and visit crew if they are hospitalized.
  16. Ensure the Familiarization Flight program is carried out and the correct paperwork is completed as per Procedures and compliance is achieved.
  17. Prepare and disseminate Memos and reminders to all crew for any policy changes.
  18. Complete the Crew Movement Officer Shift Report Log at the end of the shift ensuring to note any handover matters for the following shift. Maintain physical appearance of the Briefing Office, including cleanliness, equipment condition etc., and make recommendations for any maintenance or equipment replacement.
  19. In the absence of a SCCM, the briefing officer on duty will nominate the most senior crew member to conduct the pre-flight safety briefing. Crew Movement Officer will advise Crew Control of the absence of the operating SCCM.
  20. Liaise with other hubs for sending and receiving any product i.e. crew uniforms, manuals.
  21. Attend weekly meeting with cabin crew manager to identify the areas that require improvement. Cabin appearance and crew performance; a full report should be submitted to Cabin Crew Manager. (3 flights per shifts).
  22. Liaise with other departments to fulfill cabin crew requirements (e.g. housing, transport, HR, finance). Place a purchase order for cabin crew department.
  23. Conduct evaluation for initial crew member during 90 days appraisal.
  24. Conduct appraisal for the crew including seniors.
  25. Maintain records of crew performance, sick leave, no show, punctuality, customer service and take the necessary action in case.

Desired Profile

  1. Educated to High Secondary level.
  2. Minimum five years of experience as a cabin crew member with three years as a senior cabin crew.
  3. Good working knowledge of Flight Duty Time Limitation regulations.
  4. Self-motivated and able to work independently with strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  5. Arabic would be an advantage.

  • Assists the Engineer to constantly verify and ensure compatibility and readiness of wheels and brakes stock as per approved standards and quantity to be used as and when needed.
  • Prepares and performs scheduled component maintenance according to assigned task cards, ensuring that the required documentation, parts, tools and GSE are obtained and used per issued instructions.
  • Carries out related test and inspection tasks to the standard necessary to fully identify and record any defects or damage in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
  • Ensures proper tooling / equipment is ready to perform tasks, returning all of it in good condition following completion of work.
  • Manages the safety of own assigned maintenance tasks, ensuring all published mandatory precautions are taken prior to commencing work and during task execution.
  • Takes positive steps to protect self and other persons in the area of the maintenance activity from any possible injury, including the use of proper GSE and protective equipment.
  • Pays attention to human factors aspects of maintenance, ensuring that work interruption procedures are followed and that adequate access and lighting is used for maintenance and inspections.
  • Internal Customer Service: provides helpful information and support to own team and to other department personnel involved with managing scheduled maintenance checks

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
  • Qualified and experienced Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.

  • Ability to obtain UAE Driver’s License.
Work Experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience performing maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
  • Able to demonstrate solid basic understanding of component maintenance.
