Job Summary Aspi Nawaza Freight Broker LLC is seeking a skilled Air & Sea Cargo Specialist to manage the physical handling, documentation, and coordination of cargo shipments for air and sea freight operations. The role involves receiving, checking, packing, documenting, and coordinating cargo from suppliers and clients for both inbound and outbound shipments. The position requires close coordination with our other branch teams in China, UAE, and Iraq to ensure smooth cross-border cargo operations. Key Responsibilities 1- Cargo Reception & Verification - Receive cargo from suppliers/clients. - Identify the type of cargo (normal goods, dangerous goods, etc.) and ensure compliance with handling requirements. - Check actual weight and calculate volumetric weight. 2- Data Entry & Tracking - Record cargo details in the cargo tracking system accurately. - Update systems when shipments are dispatched or received. 3- Storage & Organization - Store cargo according to shipping type (air or sea) and destination. - Maintain an organized warehouse for easy access and safety. 4-Packing & Space Optimization - Pick and pack cargo ensuring maximum CBM space utilization. - Use protective packaging to prevent damage during transport. 5- Documentation - Prepare and arrange all required shipping documents (Packing List, Commercial Invoice, and other documentation). - Ensure accuracy and completeness of documents for customs and transport. 6- Loading & Shipping Coordination - Coordinate with stakeholders to load cargo into containers, trucks, or pickup vehicles for shipping. - Liaise with transport companies and drivers for smooth dispatch. 7- Branch Coordination - Coordinate with the teams of other Aspi Nawaza branches (China, UAE, Iraq) to ensure smooth inbound and outbound shipping operations. - Share shipment updates, cargo statuses, and any operational alerts with branch teams in a timely manner. 8- Customs Clearance - Coordinate with customs brokers for clearance procedures. - Provide necessary documentation and follow up until clearance is completed. 9- System & Accounting Updates - Update the cargo tracking system and accounting system after shipping or delivery. 10- Safety & Compliance - Follow proper lifting, loading, and unloading procedures to prevent accidents. - Comply with all company and UAE safety regulations. 11- Other Duties - Assist the Branch Manager in any warehouse, cargo, or shipping-related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Major Advantage: If you have a valid residency visa and able to obtain NOC to work with us. - Minimum 1 year of experience in cargo handling and shipping arrangements with a similar company. - Knowledge of air/sea freight procedures and dangerous goods classification is a plus. - Ability to calculate CBM and volumetric weight accurately. - Basic computer skills (Excel, cargo management systems). - Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely. - Good organizational and communication skills. - Advanced English required; Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is an advantage.

Role Overview:

• Results-oriented mindset with strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (written and verbal); proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.

What are my responsibilities?
- Review and analysis of the tender requirements from all aspects of technical, performance, and operational needs to develop technically compliant and cost-effective CHS and BHS solutions.
- Define and prepare the electrical and control philosophy and associated costs for inclusion in the overall price.
- Develop detailed electrical proposals for CHS and BHS, including power distribution, control systems, automation, and safety systems.
- Evaluate and select appropriate electrical components (cabinets, drives, etc.) based on client specifications, project scope, and regulatory standards.
- Analyze material flow/capacity assessments, capturing the key performance & design parameters to validate the system concepts
- Generate the technical and commercial proposal documentation to be submitted.
- Prepare cost estimates for electrical equipment, installation, and testing, ensuring alignment with budget constraints.
- Coordinate with other engineering teams to ensure electrical designs are fully integrated into the overall material handling system.
- Prepare BOQs & BOMs to support the estimation function.
- Facilitate the development of 3D system solutions using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks in coordination with the team.
- Value Engineering of the system design to develop cost-effective system solutions for all Bids & Proposals, including selecting OEM system components, input on pricing estimates, manpower plans, and associated phasing/scheduling activities.
- Write an explanation of the system function and operation for inclusion in the offer documentation.
- Collaborate and present to other industry experts, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on the technical aspects of the system design.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, security, environmental, and quality standards, adhering to all relevant regulations and best practices to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
What do I need to qualify for the role?
- Bachelor’s degree preferable in Electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of Bid/Proposals/Engineering experience in Airport Material Handling Systems with priority to Cargo Handling Systems and Baggage Handling Systems.
- Experience in building electrical concepts for Material Handling Systems
- Able to demonstrate experience in reviewing/analyzing tender requirements from all aspects of technical, performance, and operational needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders/management.
- Able to develop reputation/relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate any key situations where you have positively impacted the system solution and subsequent contract award.

Overview of the role:

Required Skills to be successful:
- Proven ability to manage large-scale Freight Operations efficiently.
- Expertise in handling high-value bids & RFQs for new and existing customers.
- Strong negotiation skills with carriers and agents to ensure customer retention and a healthy hit ratio.
- In-depth knowledge of Aerospace, Pharma, Food Logistics, and specialized freight solutions.
