About Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Role
Our team is looking for a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely dispatch of aircraft.
The successful candidate will have experience in aircraft maintenance and hold a valid EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 License. Additionally, they will have a B1 Engineer certification with a B2 certification being preferred. Previous experience working with Bombardier aircraft, particularly the CL-650, is highly desirable.
We are looking for someone who can work effectively in a team environment and has strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in English, both written and spoken, and able to relocate to Tashkent if necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with industry standards and operational efficiency.
- Issue Certificates of Release to Service for completed work, adhering to current Maintenance Data, procedures, and regulations.
- Review work and resources to ensure timely defect rectification and minimize downtime.
- Inform the Maintenance Manager of potential service disruptions or issues affecting the schedule.
- Ensure staff compliance with technical and safety standards outlined in manuals and publications.
- Complete documentation and certification accurately and promptly.
- Verify that replacement parts are approved, certified, and inspected before installation.
- Supervise work quality and ensure proper tools are used.
- Report technical delays, defects, incidents, and safety events promptly.
- Meet arriving aircraft and debrief crews to accurately identify and record defects.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Operator.
Requirements:
- EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 License
- B1 Engineer; B2 is preferred
- Previous Bombardier experience, preferably with CL-650 Type rating
- Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with at least 6 months within the past 24 months
- Proficiency in English: speaking, reading, and writing
- Ability to hold a UAE residency visa
- Ability to pass a medical exam equivalent to G25
- Willingness to relocate to Tashkent; candidates already based there are preferred

As a Jetstar AME, Your Focus Will Include

Responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks on Emirates and third party aircraft components in accordance with company procedures and regulations. The Aircraft Technician works as part of a team under the direction and guidance of the assigned Licensed Aircraft Engineer within the appropriate trade/cross trade disciplines for which they have been trained.
- Carry out routine aircraft/engine/component servicing/ maintenance and/or approved structural repairs compliant to manufacturers procedures whilst observing all safety procedures for fluid replenishment, aircraft refuelling, aircraft systems charging/servicing as required.
- Complete any component replacement and other maintenance activities as directed by immediate Supervisor. This will include the ability to obtain and understand Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) or other approved documentation required to carry out the task.
- Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in trouble shooting, defect rectifications and carrying out modifications while also performing instructions contained in job card.
- Participate and promote in creating a safety culture in an effort to minimise accidents and highlight any deficiencies/failures that can lead to such accidents. Ensure all work locations are kept clean and maintain excellent housekeeping. This includes being aware and communicating safety shortfalls.
- Maintain vigilance in ensuring work areas (including the ramp), vehicles, stands, lockers are free of FOD and that toolboxes are regularly audited, maintained and kept clean.
- Responsible to maintain knowledge of airport safety regulations including holding and maintaining an Airport Driving Permit. Should be fully conversant and compliant with airport manoeuvring area requirements.
- Be responsible for managing performance by working closely with supervisor on performance management processes, using My BC system to agree on development plans including training and development requirements.
- Ensure prompt attendance to all allocated tasks with the intent to maximise ground time and avoid operational delays/disruptions. This includes obtaining aircraft/component status brief from Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE), reports and preparing work accordingly. Communicate any aircraft/ component/ structural defects to the LAE in a timely manner and ensure relevant information is during shift handovers.
- As and when required, use current knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance to assist in Resource allocation using RMS / RTC.

Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches,specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.

Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA regulation.
Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment. Prepares new machines and production equipment for operation.
Follows a strict preventive maintenance schedule to lessen exposure to downtime related repairs and maintenance.
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments.
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.

Electrical & Electromechanical Focus
Performs a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy. Uses instruments to test circuits and replaces or installs new power, light, electronic and control circuits.
Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.–
Repairs complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms.
Installs Measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit.
Works from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
Improvises acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly.
Assists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective action.
Understands and implements those ISO 9000 procedures that relate to the role and responsibilities of position.
Facilities

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.
6+ years previous experience required.
Certifications in specialty area required as applicable. Or acquire within specified timing any licensures necessary to perform job.
Good interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical skills and aptitude and logical problem solving skills necessary.
Good verbal and written communication.
Able to work in fast-paced environment with a highly participative work system.
Ability to work independently in a safe and timely manner necessary.

Electrical:
6+ years as an Industrial Electrician or related electrical experience.
Knowledge of relay logic, DC drives and PLC system.
Licensed electrician required.
Technical or other post secondary school training is a plus.
Skilled in working from blueprints, circuit diagrams and schematics.
Working knowledge of methods and procedures used in performing evaluations on all electrical apparatus using ammeters, meggers, temperature gauges etc.

Responsible for the maintenance and smooth functioning of filament winding machines, hydraulic extractors, curing ovens, Siemens CNC controllers, CNC drilling and milling machines, cutting and sanding machines, and paint booths with dryers.
Repairing faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across all production equipment.
Ensuring that breakdowns are attended to in a timely manner to avoid production losses, and implementing prompt corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Implementing a comprehensive Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) system, ensuring accurate scheduling and execution.
Conducting preventive maintenance in line with the PPM system to maximize equipment availability.
Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including both breakdown and preventive tasks, ensuring service history, checklists, and repair logs are up to date.
