dnata Airport Operations’ vast ground handling operations successfully service the major global hub at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. We deliver a seamless experience from check-in to baggage delivery for more than 80 million passengers and 140 scheduled airlines annually.

As a Manager Airside Delivery, you will lead and manage the dedicated dnata shift management team to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operation for Emirates Terminal 3 (T3) and Emirates Network Control Centre (NCC). Accountable for upholding the highest safety standards while maintaining a strong focus on service delivery and quality in line with all regulatory, legal and standard operating procedures. The role is key to driving operational performance, aligning dnata resources with operating schedules, and promoting continuous collaboration across a 24/7 operational environment.

This is a full time, permanent position based at Dubai Airport – Terminal 3.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Optimise manpower and ground equipment for Emirates operations, ensuring effective coverage during peak periods, irregular operations (IROPS) and special events. Contributes to the creation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key performance indicators (KPIs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process, systems and tools enhancements to improve service delivery.
  • Guide Airside Shift Managers through clear expectations, performance reviews and coaching. Oversees succession planning and continuous team development to enhance long-term capability and operational resilience.
  • Drive a proactive safety-first approach, ensuring operational excellence through structured debriefings and targeted feedback. Encourages continuous improvement and high performance across all shifts.
  • Ensure seamless airside service delivery aligned with Emirates’ flight schedule, turnaround priorities and performance targets. Coordinates with the Network Control Centre and airport stakeholders to uphold service standards.
  • Track shift performance against SLAs and KPIs, including on-time performance and resource availability. Conducts post-shift reviews and reporting to drive operational efficiency and accountability. Contributes to the operational budget planning and champions cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Act as the main escalation point for EK operational issues in ensuring timely resolution and incident response. Assists in managing disruptions while maintaining accurate reporting and adherence to protocols.
  • Conduct inspections to uphold compliance, service standards, and workforce safety. Supports operational adjustments and corrective actions while ensuring alignment with business continuity and security protocols. Reviews and ensures that the BCP (Business Continuity Plan) for T3 and NCC are implemented to protect the operations.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • 10+ years professional experience within airport operations, preferably with a major international airline or ground-handling company, including at least 5 years in airside/ground handling, with managerial responsibility.

You’ll Have An Edge If You Have:

  • A full driving license (UAE or equivalent).
  • Proven senior management skills and strong stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Advance understanding of ground handling procedures and industry regulations. Knowledge of airline SOP’s, IATA Airport Handling Manual (AHM) and the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO).
  • Proven track record for managing and leading a diverse workforce.
  • Knowledge of airport safety, aviation security and emergency response/business continuity plans.
  • Understanding of ground support equipment, turnaround management and performance optimisation.
  • Effective interpersonal leadership skills and safety awareness.
  • Business finance awareness, budget and cost control knowledge.
  • A passion for service excellence and driving results.

As an Airside Service Delivery Duty Manager, you will drive the seamless execution of dnata Airside Operations at Emirates Terminal 3, delivering 24/7 operational efficiency and safety. Responsibilities include below-the-wing activities, resource coordination, performance oversight and strict compliance with regulatory standards.

This role acts as the key shift liaison for Emirates operations, ensuring service delivery meets defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across Airside Operations and the EK Network Control Centre (NCC).

This is a full time, permanent position based at Dubai Airport – Terminal 3, working in a 12 hour shift pattern.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Evaluate Emirates operating schedule to ensure dnata manpower and Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and aligns with demand, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. Forecasts challenges, prioritises resources and contributes to contingency planning for operational resilience.
  • Assess operational trends and escalate opportunities for improvement to respective Line managers to drive improvement and innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance in all planning. Utilises insights to enhance efficiency and mitigate potential risks.
  • Lead airside service teams at EK T3 with clear safety and performance expectations. Promotes a proactive, visible leadership, safety-first approach while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards
  • Act as the primary liaison for dnata-controlled operations, ensuring seamless coordination. Provides frontline leadership during emergencies, enabling swift response and minimising disruption.
  • Oversee airside operations with a focus on compliance and service excellence. Oversees the allocation of resources for safe aircraft movement and ensures manpower providers meet safety and performance standards.
  • Track key performance Indicators (KPIs) like on-time performance, baggage handling, and delay management. Uses data insights to drive accountability, support decisions, and maintain service reliability.
  • Contribute to operational budgets while supporting cost-efficiency initiatives. Validates shift reports and creates a management summary indicating performance trends and recommendations for ongoing enhancements.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • 8+ years professional experience within airport operations, preferably with a major airline or ground-handling company in an operational 24/7 shift environment, managing large teams.

You’ll Have An Edge If You Have:

  • A full driving license (UAE or equivalent).
  • Ability to lead large operational teams on a 24/7 operations (applicable to airside).
  • Sound understanding of load control and resource allocation (applicable to NCC).
  • Understanding of airline processes and Control Centre Operations.

Compliance and Store Standards: Ensure compliance with company policies, airport regulations, and legal requirements. Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and display aesthetics in line with WHSmith guidelines. Monitor security and cash handling procedures to safeguard assets.

Flexibility and Adaptability: Be available to work on a flexible schedule including night shifts, weekends, and holidays, as required in a 24/7 operational environment. Respond quickly to operational challenges or emergencies, demonstrating calm and effective problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in business, retail, or a related field. Strong financial understanding, including knowledge of cash handling and banking procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis. Familiarity with retail IT systems and point-of-sale (POS) platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team building and staff motivation. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities efficiently.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant job experience in retail management.
