About the Role
Connecting Travel is looking for a skilled, detail-oriented News Reporter to support our team in producing compelling, accurate and timely content across our digital platforms. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy with social media skills and a passion for B2B travel journalism.

• Monitor industry news and flag relevant developments and leads
• Liaise with local travel brands to source information and images
• Write daily breaking news stories and features
• Produce content for the social media platforms
• Monitor content metrics and compile analytics reports
• Build daily newsletters (on Pardot/Affino)
• Sub-edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity and correct house-style
• Assist in the management of contact databases and mailing lists

• Degree in journalism, media, communications or a related field
• Excellent written English and sub-editing skills
• Interest in travel and business journalism
• Proficient in digital publishing tools (e.g. Affino or similar CMS)
• Proficient in image editing tools (e.g. Canva, Photoshop)
• Proficient in social media best practices
• A can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in across multiple projects

• Audio/video content editing skills for podcast or webinar production

As a seasoned journalist, you will be working closely with editors and other reporters to pitch and develop news story angles. Your primary responsibility will be to research and write engaging news briefs in a timely manner.

Working as part of a global team, you will participate in editorial meetings, conduct interviews with industry leaders and other sources, and contribute to the development and implementation of editorial strategy.

• A minimum of 2 years of journalism or other writing experience;
• A strong portfolio showcasing published works;

• The ability to juggle multiple stories and deadlines;
• Deep familiarity with the web3 industry/markets (preferably, past experience reporting on the industry).
