The Department of Mechanical Engineering-College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of Mechanical Engineering to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in heat transfer, thermal systems, solar energy, and phase change materials.

Qualifications And Skills Required- PhD in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in heat transfer, thermal systems, solar energy applications, and phase change materials.
- Prior experience in solar system cooling or related fields.
- Strong analytical, experimental, and computational skills.
- Proven ability to independently lead and execute research projects.
- Proficiency in relevant software for simulation and analysis (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi is searching for accomplished visiting faculty in Mathematics to educate the next generation of global thinkers. Multidisciplinary research and exceptional teaching in a highly diverse and inclusive campus community are hallmarks of the University’s mission.
QualificationsApplicants holding a PhD, with teaching experience in all areas of mathematics, both pure and applied, are welcome to apply. Candidates are expected to be excellent teachers of undergraduate courses.
Position DetailsThe visiting position is for one academic year and the expected teaching load is four courses. The classes are relatively small and typically have, at most, 24 students.
Faculty CollaborationFaculty in the Program in Mathematics have strong ties to NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. Current interests of the faculty include:
- Analysis, PDEs and Applications
- Geometry, Topology and Algebra
- Probability Theory and Statistical Mechanics
In addition, faculty contribute to multidisciplinary research, potentially working with scholars from other programs in areas that include:
- Cryptography
- Bioinformatics and Biostatistics
- Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
- Environmental Science and Climate Change
Faculty have access to state-of-the-art core facilities that include robotics and high-performance computing facilities with more than 6,400 computing cores and a peak performance of 70 TFLOPS.
