Job Description
We are seeking a highly competent lawyer with around 3 years post qualification experience to lead our legal and compliance functions in the oil and gas sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing corporate legal documents, maintaining corporate registers, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Legal: Prepare and manage corporate legal documents, including Shareholders Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, and Memorandums of Associations.
- Maintain corporate registers and ensure compliance with LE Structure revisions.
- Support the PRO with license renewals, UBO requirements, and government authority matters.
- Collaborate with external law firms to resolve legal disputes and issues.
- Review and negotiate tenders, contracts, and other corporate legal documents.
- Develop contracts (templates) for service level agreements, agency agreements, and intellectual property agreements.
- Provide general legal support and consultation to mitigate group corporate risk.
- Maintain knowledge of UAE Laws and advise on amendments, new regulations, and expiries.
- Compliance: Create and implement KYC/Due Diligence procedures to enhance business practices.
- Conduct training on Anti Bribery/Corruption Laws across the business.
- Stay updated on Sanctions Lists and Anti Bribery/Corruption Laws in the UAE and other jurisdictions.
- Review and recommend policies and procedures to management.
- Provide advisory services on corporate governance matters.
Requirements include an LLB from a Common Law Jurisdiction, around 3 years PQE in a similar role, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal position, with experience in Oil and Gas/Logistics Industry.
Desirable skills include knowledge of UAE Laws, Freezones, Sanctions Lists, anti-competition, and anti-bribery laws. Fluency in English is mandatory, along with strong legal drafting skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.

As a senior compliance advisor, you will lead the development of opportunities in the UAE and work closely with your colleagues in Legal and Compliance to provide accurate and timely compliance advice.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and enhancing Cigna's compliance framework in the UAE
- Managing a team of direct reports to oversee compliance
- Influencing and collaborating with business leaders on compliance initiatives
- Creating an annual compliance plan for the UAE and MEA region
Requirements include:
- 8 years' experience in the compliance field within Healthcare Insurance/Insurance in the UAE
- Strong understanding of insurance-related laws in the UAE
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
- Previous experience in leading teams or strategic projects
