• Create conceptual designs and presentations that showcase your creativity and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare architectural drawings and detailed plans using AutoCAD and other design software.

* Develop technical drawings from sketches, site visits, and specifications.

* Coordinate with engineers, architects, and consultants to ensure drawings are accurate and meet project requirements.

* Revise and update drawings based on feedback and design modifications.

* Maintain organized documentation and drawing archives.

* Support the design team in conceptual presentations and working drawings.

Requirements:

* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.

* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the UAE.

* Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D Max is a must; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite is a plus.

* Solid understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methods in the UAE.

* Strong attention to detail and excellent drafting skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

* Good communication skills and team collaboration.

Stantec is looking for a Architectural Inspector to join our growing site supervision team in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Inspecting site conditions before the start of construction activities. Verifying the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works. Checking for obstructions.
• Photograph and document the condition of an existing property that the work might damage.
• Reviewing materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples, materials and equipment and report findings.
• Checking that materials delivered to site are appropriately stored and reporting discrepancies.
• Inspecting the construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents and approved shop drawings and submittals.
• Preparing daily logs and reports. Maintain records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc. Performing all work in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.
• Observing site safety practices and the progress of the work. Reporting any concerns.
• Assisting with the inspection of completed works. Helping prepare punch lists. Monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the works.
• Assist in the review of Shop drawing and Material submittal related to Architectural and ID works
• Perform all other duties given by the direct manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum Seven (8) years experience in a similar or equivalent position and job description, 3-4 years (UAE) Construction Administration experience in Consultancy Firms and others, Middle East buildings project experience
•Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines: Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Review of drawing related to ID
works and inspection on site
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems and trade practices is required.
• Computer proficiency.

• Inspect Contractors work to assure it is in accordance with contract plans and specifications and in accordance with RFIs submittals and approved changes.
• Issue non-compliance reports documenting deficient work and follow-up until the defective work is corrected or accepted by Owner or Engineer.
• Assist with pre-construction efforts including taking inspectors set of pre-construction photos and videos.
• Assist the Owner and Engineer with site investigations when differing and unforeseen conditions are encountered and with Owner initiated changes.
• Coordinate with the Owner Engineer and Contractor to assure that required permits are obtained and in compliance.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and daily inspector photos.
• Monitor the progress of the work and document in the daily inspection report when where and why progress is falling behind the approved schedule.
• Field verify and Document installed bid quantities and assist with final quantity reconciliation.
• Inspect temporary silt fencing and other erosion and storm water control measures to assure they comply with the Contractors storm water pollution protection plan.
• Attend and assist with progress and coordination meetings.
• Coordinate with testing labs Owner Engineer and Contractor to assure that required tests and inspections are performed.
• Witness various field and/or factory tests and document results on Owner or Engineer furnished reports.
• Assist with reviewing pay applications.
• Review Contractors as-built drawings as work progresses to ensure they are up to date.
• Assist with coordinating the Contractors work to minimize and eliminate impacts to the Owner public and other stakeholders.
• Assist with testing startup and commissioning of new systems.
• Assist in project close-out Owner and Engineer with evaluating Contractor claims.
  

• Minimum 5 years of experience in general civil facility mechanical electrical plumbing control and specialty fields of construction.
• Expertise and knowledge of all CSI divisions vertical and horizontal construction.
• Proficiency with reading understanding and correlating plans and specifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Word Excel and Project.
• Prior experience with large capital improvement public works projects involving coordination between multi-disciplined contractors.
• 10 hour OSHA safety course; 40 hour Supervisor course preferred.
• First aid & CPR training preferred.
• ICBO or equivalent certification preferred.
• Prior supervisory/ lead inspector experience.
