The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting all architectural work on a construction project. They will ensure that installation activities comply with contractual obligations and quality control standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the site architect in performing contractual duties on site.
- Verifying the quality of finishes and materials used in the project, including examining surface preparations, paint or surface coatings, and checking for proper application, smoothness, color consistency, and absence of defects.
- Ensuring that installations of finishes, joineries, doors, windows, hardscaping, facade walls, ceilings, and tiles comply with approved shop drawings and relevant industry standards.
- Examining the installation of finishes such as tiles, flooring, glazing, GRC, and wall claddings to confirm that they are correctly installed, aligned, and secured, and checking their adhesion, grouting, jointing, and overall workmanship.
- Inspecting surface preparations and verifying that they are smooth, free from debris, and adequately primed or sealed, and checking material compatibilities.
- Inspecting materials and installations for fire resistance, acoustic performance, and moisture protection.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Architecture.
- At least 5 years of postgraduate experience on large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and other software packages is an advantage.
- Regional experience is desirable.
- ADM & DM registration is preferred.
- Knowledge of local applicable building codes and requirements is essential.
