We are seeking a skilled and service-oriented Audio-Visual (AV) Engineer to support the seamless operation, maintenance, and setup of all AV systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with a variety of AV systems, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences for meetings, events, and in-room technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AV System Operation & Support:

• Install, configure, operate, and maintain audio, video, lighting, and control systems in meeting rooms, ballrooms, restaurants, and public areas.
• Support hybrid/virtual meetings, webinars, and live event streaming when required.
• Manage signal routing, switching, and distribution (HDMI, SDI, Dante, etc.).

2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:

• Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, and timely troubleshooting of AV equipment.
• Maintain inventory of AV assets and ensure all systems are functional and updated.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and upgrades when necessary.

3. Event Support:

• Collaborate with the Events & Banquet team to understand AV requirements for conferences, weddings, and VIP functions.
• Set up and manage AV equipment for live events including microphones, speakers, projectors, video walls, LED screens, and live mixers.
• Decommission and securely store the equipment after event.
• Provide real-time technical support during events to ensure a flawless execution.

4. Guest Room & Public Area Technology:

• Ensure background music systems, digital signage, and video walls are always operational and updated.

5. Compliance & Documentation:

• Maintain proper documentation of AV setups, configurations, and maintenance logs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to electrical and AV equipment.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Audio Engineering, IT, or related field.
• AVIXA CTS or equivalent certification is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a hospitality, corporate, or event environment.
• Experience with AV systems from brands such as Crestron, Extron, Shure, Bose, JBL, Samsung, LG, Barco, etc.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of sound, video, lighting, and control systems.
• Hands-on experience with digital mixers, matrix switchers, DSPs, and video conferencing platforms.
• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, AV over IP).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Working Conditions:

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules.
• On-call availability for urgent technical support.

• Stay updated on the latest A/V technologies and implement new solutions as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory of A/V equipment and supplies
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in A/V operations

• 2 years of experience in A/V technology and live event production
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various audio and video equipment
• Strong knowledge of digital audio/video systems and presentation software
• Excellent cable management and organization skills
• Experience with sound mixing and lighting control
• Associates degree in Audio/Video Technology or related field (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
