About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Home Automation Engineer with expertise in Wireless ZIGBEE and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems.
The ideal candidate will handle end-to-end project execution, from planning and installation to configuration and client handover. Knowledge of electrical systems will be considered a strong advantage.
This role requires hands-on technical ability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage smart home/office automation projects independently and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain wireless ZIGBEE-based smart home and office automation systems.
- Handle ELV system installations including lighting control, smart switches, security systems, CCTV, access control, and AV integration.
- Work on end-to-end project execution: site surveys, wiring, installation, programming, testing, and client training.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues (hardware/software/network).
- Collaborate with project managers and technicians to deliver high-quality installations on time.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in electrical and ELV systems.
- Provide after-sales technical support and system maintenance when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in home/office automation projects (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ZIGBEE protocols and smart home ecosystems (e.g., LifeSmart, Aqara, Tuya, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with ELV systems (lighting, CCTV, access control, intercoms).
- Electrical background/knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with network setup (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches) is desirable.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver under deadlines.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an added advantage).
- UAE driving license preferred.

Job Purpose
This role will be responsible for supporting the development, customization, and deployment of SkySpark-based analytics solutions for building systems with a strong focus on BMS and HVAC data. The role involves working and supporting he team on real-time data acquisition, fault detection diagnostics (FDD), data modeling, tagging (Haystack), and supporting energy efficiency initiatives across facilities and buildings. You are expected to provide support and develop the skills towards the implementation and optimization of the controls and automation systems, providing technical expertise as required to regulate, evaluate, and improve existing systems, mapping and integrating existing metering/instrumentation systems. The key candidate will be willing to travel in the MENA region.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain SkySpark projects including Axon scripting, rules, KPIs, visualizations, and connectors.
- Supporting the team to configure and manage data integrations with BMS, HVAC, and other building automation systems using protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and MQTT.
- Work with Project and Energy Management teams to understand system behaviours and assist the teams in implementing energy savings opportunities.
- Maintaining custom dashboards, charts, and reports for energy performance monitoring and fault detection. Identifying any issues with the dashboards and supporting the team with rectifications.
- Tag building assets and data using Project Haystack standards.
- Troubleshoot and validate data acquisition and accuracy within the SkySpark environment.
- Collaborate with field teams to integrate and commission SkySpark for new and existing projects.
- Support senior engineers in performing root cause analysis and generating insights from data analytics.
- Document technical configurations, logic rules, and project status for internal records and client communication.
- Stay updated with SkyFoundry best practices, releases, and enhancements.
- Work with line manager to appropriately plan the workload schedules and take a proactive approach to tasks to efficiently manage workload and resources.
- Supporting the analysts with analysis of existing building systems and the collection of data on building operations, HVAC, electrical, lighting and controls to support with the evaluation of energy efficiency and usage.
- Learn and develop the skills to grow the knowledge related to the applications used in Hubgrade and to take the lead on suggesting and implementing improvement strategies.
- Be part of the sharing and the implementation of best practices.
- Manage the improvement of operational quality results through process re-design, in addition to overseeing the identification of operational problems and priorities by assessing relevant objectives.
- Provide inputs to implement and continuously enhance departmental policy and procedures
- Preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet Enova's and department requirements, policies and standards, including the preparation and assessment of operation reports.
- Abide by the Health, Safety, Energy, Environmental and Quality (HSEEQ) policy, procedures necessary for the good conduct and safety of the workplace.
