A Service Engineer - Propulsion Control Systems is required to handle installation, commissioning, diagnostics, and maintenance of advanced propulsion control and monitoring systems used in marine vessels.

• Installation and commissioning (new or retrofit) of propulsion control systems, tuning, troubleshooting, and repairing propulsion control systems (pitch, load, thrust, joystick, DP integration)
• Perform onboard commissioning, retrofits, and periodic maintenance
• Analyze system logs, trends, and alarms for performance tuning and fault diagnostics
• Interface professionally with clients, shipyards, and OEM partners
• Generate technical reports and service documentation
Requirements

To be successful you will need the following:

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in marine automation/control systems (preferably propulsion or thruster controls such as CPP, steerable thrusters, retractable thrusters, waterjets, etc.)
• Strong understanding of various drive motor starter panels (auto transformer, soft starter, VFDs, etc.) and electrical circuits

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Instrumentation and Automation, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in these fields.
