Key Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience supporting audio-visual systems, including video conferencing facilities
• Extensive knowledge of professional and consumer audio-visual equipment, encompassing codecs, audio processors, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, TVs, projection systems, and multistandard video conversion devices
• Able to walk between multiple conference rooms and offices throughout the day, located across various facilities
• Flexibility to work varied hours

We are looking for a skilled professional to play a critical role in delivering seamless audiovisual experiences throughout our spaces.

The role of an AV Programmer involves designing and implementing complex audio, video, and control systems standards across global offices. This includes developing and implementing wiring and configuration standards for all AV systems, aligned with best practices.

As an AV Programmer, you will consult on new and existing AV projects and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders. You will also perform routine administration of AV equipment and project site setups, troubleshoot, test, correct, and commission Crestron programming systems.

Maintaining the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of work related to the royal family is also a key responsibility. You will research, analyse, and recommend system improvements and enhancements for AV infrastructure, as well as perform networking troubleshooting including diagnosing static and dynamic IPs.

Identifying defective or failed equipment and taking full ownership through to resolution is also part of the role.

The AV Support Engineer plays a pivotal role in providing expert support to customers utilizing AV/VC systems. This position requires close collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and integrators to troubleshoot complex integrated systems.

Key responsibilities include on-site troubleshooting, effective communication with manufacturers and vendors, and maintaining detailed records of ticket documentation.

• Proven experience in the AV sector with a track record of commissioning, configuring, troubleshooting, or installing corporate AV systems
• Exceptional problem-solving and diagnosis skills with a strong understanding of signal flow
• Excellent customer-facing skills and proficiency in English
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Avixa CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification or equivalent

1. Install various AV and IT equipment in the new studios according to the plan or diagram provided by the Broadcast Engineer.
2. Assemble professional video cameras, including lens, onboard monitor, and power supplies.
3. Install professional video cameras in the studio and connect them via SDI wires to server room equipment.
4. Ensure all digital video signals from cameras reach the desired equipment (video switcher, capturing device, monitor).
5. Run low voltage wiring (Video, Audio, and Network Cabling) through studios and facilities, including installing Server Racks, cameras, NVR/DVR, and other technology infrastructure.
6. Run SDI, XLR, and Ethernet cables; wire tipping, crimping, and testing are essential parts of installations.
7. Install professional studio lighting fixtures and modifiers according to the lighting scheme.
8. Analyze and repair technical faults on equipment and systems.
9. Minimize service disruption by quickly identifying issues and implementing alternative solutions when equipment fails.

• Experience in assembling/disassembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing computers/hardware.
• Knowledge and use of basic test equipment such as multimeters, and understanding of basic AC/DC circuitry is preferred.
• Knowledge of installing and soldering components on printed circuit boards following specifications.
• Basic knowledge of installing operating systems like Windows and Linux.
• Ability to install and configure computer peripheral devices and drivers (monitors, scanners, additional boards).
• Some understanding of a television control room environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

Set-up operate and troubleshoot all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment devices and systems. Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms. Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational repair or clean equipment when necessary. Label any broken equipment and communicate problems to manager/supervisor. Tape down and dress all loose wire and cable. Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order. Communicate any additions or deletions to flowsheets to manager/supervisor. Assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment up-sell different AV services and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals. Break-down remove and secure equipment when not in use. Read understand and adhere to Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) SOP book.
