Your Opportunity
Serco are currently recruiting experienced and highly motivated dual rated Air Traffic Control Officers (ATCOs) to be a part of a great team based at Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. If successful, you will be responsible for providing Air Traffic Control Services (ATC) to aircraft operating within the OMRK Control Zone and OMRK International Airport.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively through conveying a clear and concise information and ideas that engage others and demonstrates Collaboration by demonstrating a proactive team working and collaboration with others, as well as having the ability to work and make correct decisions independently under stress.
This role will be based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform the duties as an Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) within the area of responsibility for either Aerodrome or Approach at RKT Airport
- Hold and maintain ATCO license for the required ratings including Medical Class III and English
- Hold and maintain Certificate of Competency in accordance with Local regulations.
- Apply and work in accordance with Local and federal Aviation regulations including Local Manual.
- Preferably holding all three ratings of Approach Control Surveillence and Aerodrome Control rating (APS, and ADI) for at least 3 years.
- A valid relevant medical certificate
- Successful completion of the relevant ICAO courses and on-the-job training
- Hold an ATC License
- Excellent spatial awareness and ability to multitask and re-prioritize as required
- Language proficiency of minimum Level 4

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with key industry stakeholders, regulatory authorities, industry bodies, peers, partners, and direct reports.
- Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements.
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals.

Qualifications:
- Current FAA ATP or EASA ATPL or another international equivalent.
- Current FAA or EASA First Class Medical certificate or international equivalent.
- Minimum 5000 hours total flight time in a public transport category aircraft.
- Minimum 1000 hours of flight instructor time.
- Current B737, B787, or B777 type rating.
- Experience as a FAA Part 121 Airline Instructor Pilot and/or Line Check Airman, or International equivalent.
- Possession of a passport or the ability to obtain one and travel both domestically and internationally.
- Capable of traveling 50% of the time.
- International and transoceanic flight experience.
- Experience with MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Management experience.
