Job Purpose:

To generate timely, effective and safe operational flight plans and pre-flight briefings for scheduled and non-scheduled flights throughout the company network in compliance with policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Flight Plan Development: Generate flight plans, pre-flight briefings and amendments for all types of flights considering business needs, regulatory conditions, safety efficiency and customer satisfaction.
2. Flight Performance Monitoring: Monitor flight performance and trends using the system based on various criteria.
3. Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify costs weather curfew constraints and recommend cost-effective routes to the Operations Controller.
4. Operational Optimization: Regularly analyze operational and meteorological data to recommend the safest and most efficient fuel requirements considering weather NOTAMs NAV facilities ATC and MEL limitations.
5. Reporting: Provide management with detailed summaries on fuel consumption flight plans and related activities.
6. Flight Briefing: Provide thorough flight crew briefings to the Captain-in-command covering significant operational information.
7. Communication: Transmit all Flight Plan requirements to ICAO directly or via approved handling agents.
8. Crisis Management: Coordinate with Operations Controller Chief Pilot and Captains to manage irregular operations disruptions delays and cancellations initiating alternative plans as needed.
9. Emergency Response: Use all available tools and channels during emergencies to communicate safety information to Captains following the Operations Manual and regulatory procedures.
10. Incident Assessment: Assist the Operations Controller in assessing incidents and initiating emergency procedures and notifications.
11. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain LIDO Flight Planning data to ensure all OFPs meet regulatory and AIP requirements.
12. Quality Control: Monitor daily flight plans to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
13. Issue Resolution: Liaise with LIDO on flight plan issues implementing remedial actions promptly.
14. Smooth Transition: Ensure smooth shift transitions through proper handovers before and after flights.
15. Professional Development: Stay updated with changes to manuals aircraft publications and regulatory requirements.

• Regulatory & Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of EASA / FAA Part-145 regulations and associated requirements for aircraft maintenance and repair organizations. Familiarity with SMS (Safety Management Systems) and aviation quality management principles (e.g., ICAO Annex 19). Knowledge of AS9110 / ISO 9001 or similar quality management system standards.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Part-145 MRO environment (ideally in engine nacelle repair, component overhaul, or similar). Proven track record in supporting regulatory compliance and audits. Managing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Conducting root cause analysis and implementing process improvements.
• Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills (e.g., 5-Whys, Ishikawa / Fishbone). Experience in risk assessments and mitigation planning. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with maintenance tracking systems.
• Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, procedures, and audit documentation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
