This role is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of aircraft during normal and non-normal situations. As a key member of the flight crew, you will provide continuous input and assistance to the captain to ensure efficient flight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the commander in maintaining a high standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance while on duty.
- Provide effective communication and teamwork to ensure the safety and well-being of crew and passengers.
- Assist with fueling, baggage/cargo loading, and aircraft servicing according to established procedures.
- Execute duties according to operational manuals and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 225 hours of flying experience required for candidates aged 20-34.
- Candidates aged 35-50 must have at least 1,000 hours of flying experience.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
- A valid GCAA Air-law exam certificate is required for foreign license holders.
- Level 4 or above ELP certification is necessary.
- A 1st Class Medical certificate from ICAO CPL/IR with MCC for Frozen ATPL is also required.

- Crisis Management: Coordinate with Operations Controller Chief Pilot and Captains to manage irregular operations disruptions delays and cancellations initiating alternative plans as needed.
- Emergency Response: Use all available tools and channels during emergencies to communicate safety information to Captains following the Operations Manual and regulatory procedures.
- Incident Assessment: Assist the Operations Controller in assessing incidents and initiating emergency procedures and notifications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain LIDO Flight Planning data to ensure all OFPs meet regulatory and AIP requirements.
- Quality Control: Monitor daily flight plans to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Issue Resolution: Liaise with LIDO on flight plan issues implementing remedial actions promptly.
- Smooth Transition: Ensure smooth shift transitions through proper handovers before and after flights.

Familiarity with SMS (Safety Management Systems) and aviation quality management principles (e.g., ICAO Annex 19). Knowledge of AS9110 / ISO 9001 or similar quality management system standards.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Part-145 MRO environment (ideally in engine nacelle repair, component overhaul, or similar). Proven track record in supporting regulatory compliance and audits. Managing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Conducting root cause analysis and implementing process improvements.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills (e.g., 5-Whys, Ishikawa / Fishbone). Experience in risk assessments and mitigation planning. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with maintenance tracking systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, procedures, and audit documentation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments. Flexibility and adaptability to changing regulatory requirements and operational priorities.
